A player Bradley has been recruiting for a long time is Evan Turner of Westchester St. Joseph. He is a 6'7" small forward from the class of 2007. He has had an impressive season, and now is being recruited by an impressive number of high majors. Here is a link to a journal he wrote for a recruiting website. Note the next to last paragraph where he lists the teams he is being recruited by and is considering. He says "I truly like all the schools who are recruiting me". Only 2 of the schools he lists are mid-majors, and one of them is Bradley.

Jonathan Montgomery is a highly rated junior 6'3" shooting guard at Chicago Lincoln Park HS. He gives an interview to this same recruiting site. Nice to see Bradley is in on this kid, too. He is a fantastic player with a lot of upside.

I liked the guys website, did anyone see his predictions?

http://www.freewebs.com/chipatsj23h/predictions.htm

I like how he thinks until the final  , but I cant blame him for the pick.

He lists Crawford as uncommitted, but I thought we have him locked up right?

If I get back to Aurora in time for the West sectional final game Friday I will see who I can talk to about TJ Marion.

Dumb question, but can someone tell me when 06 seniors must sign a national letter of intent?
Isn't it in May?

Does anyone think that with most of the player's seasons coming to an end.......(other than the ones still in post season play)....... that maybe an announcement might be forthcoming? :?

Will the coach's hold off any announcements until the Braves are also done with post-season play in order to take care of business at hand?

I have heard it said we probably won't hear any news until April.

The signing dates are: April 12, 2006 to May 17, 2006

That's right, as far as I know. There have been players leaving early every year, so I wouldn't be surprised if it happens this year, too.

Question: Would Stemler and Thorton be considered the same player for a team or would Stemler be farther ahead body wise? :? I don't remember how big Stemler was other than height? Seems like they would both play the same position hitting quick treys when needed!

What I remember about Stemler is, when ever he got the ball, he looked like a deer caught in headlights.
I believe Joe Stowell would refer to him as a 3:00 o'clock player.
Are we sure he has changed?
He was a good JUCO player before, but when he got to Bradley??????????????????????????

I think they are similar players, just 3 years apart.

I saw Lance Stemler in St. Louis, and he had gained some weight, was very muscular, and looked much stronger. I am sure he'll be a good player whereever he goes. He problems at Bradley last year were due to inexperience, like all freshmen have.

Zach Thornton is a very similar player to Lance when Lance was in high school. Zach does not have a Division I body just yet. I understand the scholarship offer to UW-Milwaukee was made with the understanding that he would redshirt to get stronger. But with his great showing, maybe Zach will get other offers?

Excuuuuuse me!

I apologize to Ryan Thornton for mixing up the name. I have too many different guys on my mind, plus being distracted by the whole NCAA/selection suspense. Thanks for correcting me.

TJ is not the shooter BU needs, but how many players are good at so many aspects of the game?
I hope BU gets him this spring.

well I have heard that TJ's teammate Aaron Synder is also interested in BU, he could be the shooter we need.
