Bradley has offered a scholarship to 6'3" point guard Iman Shumpert of Oak Park-River Forest High School. His stock is rising with some impressive showings over the summer.
He has scholarship offers from Bradley, Southern Illinois, Toledo and Northern Iowa. Also showing interest are Northwestern, Iowa State and Wisconsin.

He looks very similar to another player Bradley is recruiting, Joseph Bertrand of Sterling high school. Here is video clip of Bertrand--

This is the kind of player Jim Les really loves, a scoring guard who is extremely athletic and can dribble, pass, score, and defend.

I notice a majority of kids being recruited are this similar type of athletic wing player.

Iman Shumpert is a 6'4" point guard/shooting guard from Oak Park-River Forest High School. There is a new article on Rivals that reports on how his recruiting has "blown up". The article is a premium article, but here are the key points--

He has scholarship offers from Bradley, Illinois State, Northern Illinois, Southern Illinois, Toledo, Western Kentucky,Minnesota, Nevada and Northwestern.
He also has had interest from Arizona State, Clemson, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Michigan State, Notre Dame and Wisconsin. But more major college coaches are beginning to call.Shumpert visited Notre Dame last Sunday for an unofficial visit.
He is averaging 15 points, six rebounds and three assists.

Shumpert skyrocketed more than anyone else in the new Illinois player rankings by chicagohoops.com.

He was previously ranked in the mid-teens, and now has jumped to #4, behind only Lewis Jackson, DeAndre Liggins, and Michael Dunnigan.

Also in those new 2008 rankings, I find a few other surprises.

Matt Roth has dropped to #18, and Tyler Storm who was once in the top-10 has now dropped to #21.
Whenever this happens, it is pretty much a given that the chicagohoops-guys have little respect for the downstate kids, and that they are pegging them as mid-major prospects only.
One other kid, Verdell Jones, who was once as high as top-5, has also fallen way down to #15. Jones was at Kansas' Midnight Masness, and was hailed as recently as last October, as the best point guard in the Class of 2008, but is now listed as the 4th point guard.
