It is being reported on a recruiting website that Bradley is recruiting a junior college big man, Delbert Simpson, a sophomore at Tyler Community College in Tyler, Texas.

He was a 2-star player according to Scout and a 3-star player according to Rivals when he came out of John Tyler High School in Tyler, Texas in 2004. He was a 1st team All-State player there his senior year. He was listed then as 6'9", 205 lbs. He commmitted to New Mexico State out of high school over Nebraska and South Alabama, and was enrolled his freshmen season at NMSU, but he left before playing a game. On the NMSU roster he's listed at 230 pounds, so he must have bulked up a little.--

He left New Mexico State in October, 2004, shortly after basketball practice began. Below is an article that just says he left for personal reasons, which usually means he didn't like his interim coach Tony Stubblefield. Stubblefield took over for Lou Henson when Henson became ill.
Stubblefield did very poorly. He went 6-24 that season (2004), despite having some decent talent and playing in the weak Sun Belt Conference. A number of his players, including Simpson, left the team that year or were declared academically ineligible. He was replaced at the end of that season by Reggie Theus.--

He sat out the 2004-2005 season, and spent last season (2005-2006) as a freshman on the Tyler CC roster, and he is a soph there this year. The Tyler CC website is lousy and does not give any stats, so we don't have his stats for last season.

He's probably in these pictures of this year's Tyler team beginning practice. He is listed as #30 on their roster.

This guy looks like one bad mamma jamma. This is the kind of JUCO big I am talking about - instant impact, and imposing underneath.

An update--

Bradley has been recruiting Delbert Simpson (profiled above), a sophomore at Tyler Junior College, Tyler, Texas.

Now, Hoopmasters also is reporting that Bradley has been in touch with 1 of his teammates, Tyrone Cole-Scott, a high scoring guard.--

He's mentioned in about the middle of this article--

Another interesting Tyler Junior College connection--
The coach at Tyler is Mike Marquis. Bradley is now reported by Van Coleman of Hoopmasters to be recruiting his son, Mitch Marquis. Mitch is a 5'10" sophomore (class of 2009) high scoring point guard at Whitehouse, Texas (Class 4A). There is not a lot of available information about Mitch Marquis.

Delbert Simpson just committed to Baylor. Bradley had interest in him last fall, but I do not believe they were involved recently
