Cards win Friday night to wrap up the WS.
I can't remember a World Series when 1 team played as poorly as the Tigers. Not to take anything away from the Cards who played well and took advantage of their opportunities, but the Tigers were pitiful. Other than Kenny Rogers' great outing, the rest of them collectively stunk.

I know this is a "Cub" board, but the Cardinals BEAT the Tigers, period. Look no further than the Tigers .199 batting average. Great pitching and timely hitting equals title number 10. "Wait until next year", boys.

Worst WS champion ever!! You have to admit that the Cards were NOT a great team, in fact no NL team was this year. Tigers just blew it big time. but congrats on the title.

we'll see how the cubs take care of business in the NL central in 07.
