Tyshon Pickett is a 6'6", 215 pound power forward now at Dodge City Community College in Kansas. He is originally from Passaic, New Jersey. He sounds like a Matt Salley type of overachieving, but slightly undersized power forward. He is a bit under the radar, and there is not a lot of information about him from the many recruiting sites that usually list D1 prospects.
However, our coaches have scouted him this fall and were impressed, and feel he may be exactly what our team needs.
He is also being recruited by Boise State, Middle Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, and Wichita State, and I hear he has offers from a couple of those schools.

Might be closer to a Theron Wilson then a Salley after looking at his numbers.

Here are a few youtube videos with Tyshon in them

Number 20 in purple. This is a highlight video of the opposing team, so no offensive highlights. Defense looks a little suspect, but keep in mind that it's a highlight video.

Buzzer beating 3, while defended.

#20 in white, a look at zone defense, then man-to-man guarding a small guard, and then a steal and breakaway dunk

#20 in white, hits a couple free throws.

Anyone notice the logo painted at center court on his home floor?

Anyone notice the logo painted at center court on his home floor?

Yes, I noticed it. They are the Passaic Indians (his high school court in the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th vid-clips).
It's beautiful, and the NCAA can't do anything about it. :)

Tyshon received an offer from Coach Ford. FWIH, he will return home before he makes a decison.

Didn't Coach Lowery mention in DR's recent article in PJS on SIU that Falker and Shaw were only 6'7"?

“Those guys were only 6-7. It’s not how big you are, but how big you play.”

Hopefully TP will be part of the turnaround a BU!

Tyshon Pickett was in attendance at the BU game today in Springfield, Mo.

That is quite a drive! Springfield, MO is 425 miles from Dodge City, Kansas. That is about 14 hours of driving!
