Back in May there were some reports that Leon Powell of St. Louis Vashon was considering BU, Mo State, Illinois, St. Louis. I see he is averaging 20 points, 9.7 rebounds and 4 blocks per game this year. I have not heard anything more on him and sites like Rivals don't list any more up to date info. Is he still on our list ? Are we on his ?
Rivals lists him as 6 ft 6 while the Stl Today site lists him as 6-8.

From all that is available on Powell, he is more like 6'6", a little small for a power forward. Nonetheless, he has Div I talent. He may have to go to prep school according to many sources. I do not think Bradley is very involved now.

Leon Powell just gave a new interview to Jeff Johnson, reporter for the Illini...
"6-foot-7 St. Louis Vashon power forward Leon Powell is averaging 20 points, ten rebounds for his 20-6 team. Vashon is in the middle of their playoff run ..."
"As far as recruiting? "Bradley and Saint Louis are right there for me. I plan to visit them and Missouri State. My grades are much better now so I have a chance at qualifying. Bradley, Missouri State and Saint Louis all have told they will have a scholarship for me if I qualify."
"If Powell falls short he has a backup plan. "Right now I would go to a prep school if possible next year."
