Another highly coveted recruit for 2007 is Leon Powell. Bradley remains high on his list.

He told PrepStars.com on Wednesday--
"St. Louis University, Missouri State, Bradley and Mizzou are looking at me and that's really it."

Leon Powell has signed to play this fall forĀ*Indian Hills Junior College.
He came up short on a final attempt to achieve a qualifying test score.

Is this kid still on BU's radar? He's 6'6, so I assume his main position is the 3/4 spot. With Theron gone after this year, that would fill a need.

he is averaging at 11.5 ppg and 6.4 rpg Indian Hills juco
but he is a 2009 recruit, and I am not sure we would use the apparently last remaining 2009 scholarship on another frontcourt player when our needs at shooting guard may be greater.

Bad news for former BU recruit Leon Powell.
The former high school teammate of Bobby Hill (St. Louis Vashon HS), Powell spent 2 seasons at Indian Hills juco, and is now at SEMO. He was being described by coach Dickey Nutt as his top recruit, and a potential starter. But he has torn his ACL in a preseason pickup game, and will miss this entire season.
