I go regularly to the KC Club right down Radnor Rd. from AA. Their parking lot was always packed. From what I have heard it was a matter of rising rent. IMO the new location is more out of the way.

That sounds good for them. For me, I rarely go anywhere close to Willow Knolls or Radnor Roads, but am around the Grand Prairie and Rt. 91 area a lot. I will be much more likely to stop and try their pizza at the new location.

They have a decent lunch buffet but I wouldn't rate their pizza as that good, it's OK but I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. Just my opinion although they do have a nice buffet.

I posted about a terrific Peoria pizza place back at the beginning of this thread named Brienzo's Pizza. They have been located in the Junction City complex since 2014. It is genuine wood-fired pizza. They also have great sandwiches and other stuff.
Just a couple weeks ago, they announced they will be moving to a much bigger space in the expanding Heritage Square complex in Peoria Heights, across Prospect from the old Pabst plant.

I don't know why Brienzo's Pizza is leaving Junction City. We live near JC and we always thought they were doing well at that location and there isn't any other pizza restaurant located nearby. Sometimes we go to Sugar in the Warehouse District on Adams and their pizza is similar. I think Sugar has the best pizza in Peoria.

they send the limo for all the VIP's -
As always, Portillo's has great food and even got a chance to meet & talk with founder Dick Portillo who was there to greet people on the Grand Opening in Peoria. He is still the CEO altho he sold the entire operations to a restaurant management corporation a few years ago (for about a BILLION dollars!!) after running the business completely on his own as a family business since 1963.

They now have 58 locations, altho three of them (Madison WI, Avon IN and Indianapolis IN) are not yet open but soon will be, so Peoria is the 55th to open.

I ate at Brienzo's in Junction City this weekend, and the pizza was great! I recommend highly! They also have outdoor seating and a great wine selection!

The Peoria Journal State just posted an article in which they polled Illinois residents about the best pizza in Peoria. It made me recall this old thread that was started in 2009 and continued through 2018. I mentioned Brienzo's Pizza back in 2014 (they are now located in Heritage Square in Peoria Heights), and Brienzo's was voted the #1 pizza in Peoria-
