Did anyone watch the Illiinois/Michigan game last night? Did you hear the announcers mention that Illinois has to watch themselves playing down to inferior competition like they did to Bradley. Playing down to inferior competition is one of the things that the Illinois team has to be careful according to Bruce Weber as well. I saw the game. Illinois did not "play down" to Bradley. They were just flat out beaten.

also saw on espn when they were going over ncaa resumes of both illinois and northern iowa. they listed bradley as BAD LOSSES for both teams.

I just take comments like that with a grain of salt. Those announcers know virtually nothing about Bradley or Utah, and likely did not see a minute of either game. So they just say those things to sound smart, because most of their audience also doesn't know anything about those earlier games they lost.

Any loss to a team with an RPI below 100 is referred to as a bad loss. So yes that makes losses to Bradley a bad loss. If we can get our RPI into the top 100, a loss to us would no longer be considered a bad loss.

Does this remind you of a team we see every week?

I feel like Bradley plays to their competition as well...

There are many explanations for why we can hang with and beat UNI and Illinois, yet lose to SIU and almost to Idaho State...

Right now we are a bad loss to a team scrambling to take a seat to the NCAA. Any team that is not even in the bubble conversation has to be considered a bad loss. Reality folks! We have an average record from an average conference this year. Good teams that want to get an at large bid do not lose to teams like BU this year. This team may have talent and we also know what they are capable of but reality is they have not lived up to it yet this year. Lucky for them the year is not over.

I agree even though you hate to admit it but a loss to Bradley is considered a bad loss because of our record, had we taken care of business at home we just might be one of the teams that could be in line for an at large bid.
