Video of starting lineups

I managed to take a video of the starting lineups and opening video with my Droid X tonight but I forgot to turn it sideways and now you have to watch it with your neck turned LOL. I'll take a better one on Tuesday.

Also the geniuses at Motorola didn't bother to include a zoom feature on the Droid X Camcorder so it's not the greatest of up close quality. Just figured i'd put something up on youtube for anyone out of town that can't see it on the TV or internet broadcasts.

Oh and the intro video sucks again, it left me wondering "is that it?" If they are going to keep that video, they mise well just go straight to the intros.

The scoreboard videos were great.

But, you forgot to give us a link to YouTube.

Oh, maybe I forgot to mention that i'm going to get a better one on Tuesday, not going to bother posting the 1 I have now. The video is sideways and your neck will be sore LOL.

Yah the scoreboard was great and loved the quicker view of replays almost right after they happened. Just the starting lineup intro video sucked like last year.

Over the holidays I'm planning on taking some relatives from Chicagoland to the Detroit game and I'm almost embarrassed to think of their reaction to it. I would love it if they redo it.

How hard would it be to get some clips of the Hawk, AP, sweet 16 run, a few dunks, then a quick mug shot of each senior saying, "I'm Dodie Dunson, and Carver Arena is my house" Then AW, then Sammy saying the same thing as Dodie, then the whole team together saying "We are Bradley, and Carver Arena is OUR house!" Then go to intros.

That perfectly mediocre effort took me 4 minutes to think up and I don't have a creative bone in my body.

Is it just me or are there NO LINKS to BRADLEY scenes in this thread? Are we supposed to be looking at BU game footage? If so, LINKS PLEASE!

Just tell them in advance that this isn't a Bulls game where that nonsense goes on for it seems forever.

I just have to say that these intro videos are the best that I have seen at a Bradley game. Shame on you all! This was just awesome. It goes with the whole "I am a Brave" theme.....each player getting scanned to see if they are truly a Brave...splendid!! The creativity of it is just GREAT. I cannot imagine the time and efforts that it took to produce this. Did anyone see the intro to the gatling gun t-shirt launcher? First of all the launcher was awesome! Then the intro video of the gun shows it launching t-shirts which end up to be the sponsor logos. I think this is great approach! I am so tired of seeing snipits of the coach and shot after shot after shot of the OLD players. What a way to mix it up. Way to go BU! I commend the efforts of the talented staff involved.

Not trying to be negative, but it just wasn't very good. If I put out a crappy product at my business I would expect to get negative feedback, and so should the video makers. This board is a chance for the masses to voice their opinion. It's not a personal attack, but a challenge to get better. That's how good businesses take negative critiques from customers, as an opportunity to improve. Who asked for BU to come up with a intro video anyway? It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the video intro was done away with entirely. But that's JMHO.

However, if this week playing Mickey Mouse cartoons for a video intro followed by Barry Manilow's Copacabanna for starting lineups results in W's vs. NIU and Loyola Marymount, and healthy Sammy ankles, then you can call me a happy camper.

Thanks for the positive feedback on the video, and otherwise. I made the video this year in collaboration with Coach Les and the players for the concept, but filmed and edited it as an intern for the Athletics Deptartment.

I plan on updating the video as the season progresses. As of now, the only HD footage we had of the team was from the scrimmage the other night at Renaissance Coliseum, so we'll eventually work footage from Carver in there, but as the only intern working on videos and advertising, it could take a couple weeks.

For those who enjoyed it I posted the intro video on my youTube in its original quality.

This video is more about the team of this season, thus the reason we went with a futuristic and new look. The Bradley Legacy video edited by announcer Dave Snell plays before this video and includes the Bradley legends like Hersey.

Thanks!

FYI, I can't get your link to work.

I liked the "polish" of it. It was clean and easy to follow. I don't like to be too critical especially finding out an intern did it....I'm sure he put alot of effort into it.

With that said its more "informational" or more something you would see if you were mkt BU and the team. Its a bit "slow" for something thats suppose to kick start the fans.

IMO it needs to be more "explosive"...."in your face"..."exciting edge of your seats viewing".....I just didn't get pumped up watching it. It was cool but not exciting.

Off hand I think off Deons shot....CR's shot..... Hawks buzzer beaters a few of the sweet 16 moments.....

Again..I applaud the interns efforts. Looking forward to the updates.

I don't care what anyone says I thought it was pretty good...

Needs a few tweaks here and there and maybe a team spot like Chico said with the "This is our house" but I like the graphic design...

Agree...the graphics were tremendous. Like I stated above it really has a place just MAYBE not to start the game with.

But yes it was very well done......

MFBIM- I should clarify my comments. Nothing more obnoxious than a critical comment without some positive reinforcement. I had no idea an intern made our intro videos. I assumed it was someone from the athletic dept, Anyway, from a technical and production standpoint, very well done. No complaints on the graphic quality or the seamlessness of the production. Show that work to a company looking to hire you and you'll have a good chance of being hired.

It's the content that, like Dogs said, has it's place, just not in a video that is supposed to fire the home crowd up. And for being the only intern, that's alot on your plate! That should be a good resume builder for you come graduation time. Thanks for putting in your time (probably for no pay) into this. I want to see Carver rocking each night, and if the video helps us to get there, then great!

That being said, if we are looking for a video to get the home crowd jacked up, it really does leave a bit to be desired. I'll bet you that if you show a BU/Peoria crowd some highlights that we've mentioned in previous posts, get a good Dave Snell radio call or two, and have the players emphasize our home court (this is our house), maybe get the Red Sea to have a cameo, and viola.........you'll have a winner and a fired up home crowd.

Best of luck to you, and thanks in advance for a ROCKING new version of the intro video!!!!!:)

Nice recovery.....:)

It's great to get the crowd fired up before the game starts, but watch what happens at the time outs. 10 seconds of silence, then a scoreboard advertisement, then maybe someone shooting for chicken wings, then students racing back and forth picking up something, then a PA announcement and finally the band might get to play after the piped in music. How can anyone get fired up after all that c---?

Yes, nothing wrong with the graphics, it just needs something thrown in to get the crowd riled up. I don't think I heard 1 clap during the intro video until after the starting lineup song started. I am pleased that you are going to update it as time goes on instead of us being stuck with the same exact video all season long again lol.
