I don't have the facts, but, in my opinion, BU MBB has gotten as much ink, email, twitter, postings, blogs, Letters To The Editor, etc by people in a 3-13 year as they did in their S-16 season!

Shows how much people care about BU MBB!

I agree but most of those fans are the hard core that will follow BU come heck or highwater....I have always guessed that at around 6000 fans (that go to the games) which is impresive.

What we are losing, for a variety of reasons, are those fence sitters, average fans and the ones we want to make permenant fans like ourselves.

You need to win most of the time and offer a good product to keep retain and draw that remaining 4ooo fans or so to reach that magical 10,000 number (or more) on a consistent basis.

Maybe I'm missing some cryptic hidden message, but there is nothing in KW's message board post that adds anything to this. He does not verify this story one bit. It is still unsubstantiated rumor, which he himself has condemned.

However, I do very much agree with this post. KW's explanation confirms that his article pertaining to JL's status was sloppily written.

I have always been amazed at the passion and loyalty that a town of Peoria's size has for Bradley Basketball. It's truly a beautiful thing. Can you imagine what things would be like if Bradley won consistently like CU did for years? Or Gonzaga? It would be impossible to get tickets at face value....... kind of like the way it is at Duke.

Yep...I think this is being shown in the number of people still attending games this year.

Its an awesome thing, and needs to be cherished and improved upon.

I was traveling for work and was able to sell my tickets for the BU-ISU game this year for over face value. Can you believe that? Imagine if we were actually good! BU is a sleeping giant...when will the giant wake up?

His response on the forum "what I've heard, what I've learned, yadda yadda yadda" implies a little more than a hunch. He's either got info or he doesn't. We'll find out.

Perhaps a minor point and regardless of what happens, I am not going to label KW a liar.

If people are a "fool" for wrong opinions we have alot of them on this board...including myself.

Wessler says "he is sure" Les will be fired in this one. I don't know how him saying this stuff helps Bradley out. He is just hurting the university and players by saying this stuff before it happens even if it does happen. He also insulted the team and said he "tried to be nice."

I didn't feel like looking at all this. Often I see threads I think look like they are turning negative and just ignore them, because I'm really tired of reading the same negativity over and over again. It is the same statements by the same people 1000 times, I'm just sick of it and don't want to read it.

Tired of the negativity, but you read the thread that has 'ethical hypocrisy' in the title? What were you expecting in this thread?

I’m also sure I am right about this: The unofficial countdown to the end of Jim Les‘s career as head coach has begun. It’s important to emphasize, nothing is set in stone. We don’t know what tomorrow holds. (Maybe Armageddon?) But the program is in serious need of a change in direction, and I believe it’s going to happen.

ETA - The main article said this....

The Braves on Tuesday night reminded us why their season record is 9-18, why they’re last in the Missouri Valley, why so many empty seats turn out to watch them play. And yes, they reminded us why Jim Les’ days remaining as head coach likely number fewer than 20.

Absolutely not. But when someone says publicly or tells me personally they are a fan then I believe them. Not sure what other way you can judge it....maybe people smarter than me can differentiate.

IMO, kw will become a Bradley fan again when JL leaves.

IMO, KW is as much of a BU fan as anyone on this board...always has been, always will be. He wants nothing more than to see BU succeed....just like the rest of us.
