Since the NCAA has not yet issued their ruling regarding the cheating and lying by Bruce Pearl, this could make it hard for them to land the candidate they want right now. Any good candidate with other options/offers would want to know what penalties he might inherit at Tennessee.
 
What he and others (starting with Skip Prosser) have done/accomplished at Xavier, make it a much better job than Tennessee IMHO. They've had a final 8 and two sweet 16s in the past three years. After a very impressive year this time around, they had some difficulty in their conference tournament and NCAAs, but that not the norm and simply an aberration.
