You have it. Sometimes people will deviate from their norm when they feel their livelihood is in jeopardy. Three things that will make people do funny things love, money and your health.

Also, I have a nephew who goes to UT and has told me that BP is all over campus willing to talk to anyone, especially the co-eds.;)
 
Has had a few incidents outside of college basketball including being removed from the gym a couple times when his son was playing high school basketball. One of "those" parents!
 
Here's even more on the bizarre saga of Bruce Pearl...

Seems the NCAA notified the University of Tennessee attorneys that they were going to ask Bruce Pearl about the photograph of the recruits at Pearl's home..

SO -- the admin & attorneys at Tennessee knew the NCAA was aware the picture was taken at Pearl's home and were going to try to trap him into denying it...
BUT -- they did not let Pearl know this was coming -- they left him hung out to dry and Pearl, when asked, refused to be honest and admit the pic was taken at his home.
Had Pearl known what Tennessee's attorneys already knew - that the NCAA already knew it was taken at Pearl's home - he likely wouldn't have tried to throw the NCAA investigators off track with his stonewalling..
