It is now reported that Bradley is recruiting the #1 player in the country in the class of 2013, Jabari Parker-
Reggie Rankin is a national recruiting expert-http://twitter.com/#!/ReggieRankin

Wow. Kansas, Mich St, Louisville, Stanford, Minnesota, Marquette, Tennessee, Ohio State, and Bradley

That is pretty good company! And I have heard he is seriously considering Bradley and will visit soon.

He is 2013

Washington is highly involved and so is BYU

Yes, that is correct. That was a typo, I knew that. I have been hearing about Bradley's involvement with Parker for a couple weeks.
Parker is an absolute certain NBA player, and probably a 1 and done. He and his people are interested in considering a midmajor like Bradley, and we have made inroads.
He and his mother are devout Mormons, so that is part of the reason he is considering Utah and BYU.

yeah.

How "interested" do you actually think he is in Bradley....................................................

Actually I believe Geno is in another state, getting ready to see a very important 2012 recruit tomorrow.
I believe it was Willie who was in Chicago today watching Parker.

ok that's nice Geno.. Now let's get back to reality.

Sorry Ben you feel that way. The only way to find out, is to put yourself out there. You go out to the bar and there's this very hot girl at the bar and most guys are to much of a wuss to go over and talk to her and she ends up with the guy who had the balls to talk to her. As Ted Williams said,"It is better to have swung and miss then not to have swung at all." I'm all for taking a Dave Kingman type swing for the fenses! ;-)

Hell yea keep going for the fences Coach Ford!

+1 I think this could carry over to scheduling :)

I'll take this one more step. I hope the AD is right now swinging for the fences in regards to conference affiliation. It is time to be bold because anything less in this climate is foolish IMHO. I want BU to be on the right side of the transformation of college sports. Going for big time athletes can only help the brand!

Ted Williams also created a hitting zone chart based on batting averages for a baseball in a specific location. With this recruitment, I would be surprised if we are hitting over .100.
If the kid was a top 50 type recruit, then I would say go for it. But honestly, I think that this is a big waste of time if we are specifically going after Parker. I say this as I read this report the other day before I heard Bradley's name associated with this kid. My guess is that we are watching one of Parker's teammates. --and I have nothing wrong with that--

"It was crazy," Simeon coach Rob Smith said of all of the coaches. "It's something I've never been around in my years of coaching."

Krzyzewski and his assistants, Jeff Capel and Steve Wojciechowski, took a limousine service from the airport. North Carolina was the only other program to bring along three coaches to the open gym. Illinois had assistant coach Jerrance Howard join Weber."

Pretty tough to compete against Coach K, limousines, et al. Don't get me wrong, if we were somehow able to land Parker, I would be ecstatic. Think Frank the Tank from the movie Old School streaking through the quad.

Ok I probably scared all recruits away for a while.

Maybe - but they were definitely also there to view Parker and have been in touch with Jabari & family previously..
There are people on our current staff who have pretty good connections thru Geno, thru Chipola, & thru Huggins to long time AAU guru Sonny Parker --
they may be new names to Braves fans, but Jaden Uken & Pat Beilein are pretty darned good.......

So why is this suddenly happening with Geno at the helm whereas it didn't under Les? Why BU and not the other MVC teams? I hear it's raising eyebrows throughout the MVC.... Why is now different for Willie Scott as a recruiter than when he was under Les?
