Missouri State gets commitment from 2012 forward

Gavin Thurman, a pretty good (Rivals 3-stars, Scout 2-stars) 6'6" forward from Wichita Southeast HS has committed to Missouri State and new coach Paul Lusk. He picked MSU over Iowa and a number of other good programs.

He is described by his AAU coach as "a skilled four man that fits the mode [sic] of a Kyle Weems".
 
I saw this earlier today. He apparently didn't like his recent visit to WSU. You wonder how WSU let's him escape their own back yard to go to a conference rival with a new coach.

He probably wanted to get away from home which is why it is not easy to recruit local kids.
