Evansville player out for season after breaking foot

definitely an injury that is worse for the Aces than would appear just by looking at stats... because the Aces were already in desperate straits for decent low post play.

Evansville has no size up front... as their main playing rotation (only 7 players average more than 10 mpg) is comprised of

-Ryan, Cox, Jones, Taylor - four guards but only one that's much over 6-ft
-Harris, Holmes, Jahr - 3 guys who man the frontcourt but BOTH Harris & Holmes are listed as guards on the roster and are under 6-6...only Jahr is a true low post man.

Jahr is the only player over 6-5 or 6-6 that is playing more than 10 minutes...

In fact - even prior to this injury - Marty Simmons was so desperate for someone to play the low post, that he tried out a completely inexperienced guy last game - starting freshman Jaylon Moore who had only played 20 minutes thus far ALL season and had made only one shot in his college career!
That didn't work apparently as Marty yanked Moore after a few minutes and never used him again.

One more thing - Evansville is getting outrebounded a lot on the season by opponents (40.9 to 29.8 )

Over their five most recent games - North Carolina A&T outrebounded the Aces 38-22, TCU by 41-27, UIC by 40-28, lowly Alabama State by 39-31, and UNC beat them on the boards by an astounding 62-32 margin!
