Current Braves stats.....

Interesting stats when you compare by positition the statistical leaders to Geno's past Kent St. teams. They seem to mirror his past teams (big shock).

True. But typically 2 of the 3 top stats leaders were guards; guards also rebounded well. What really stood out about his KSU teams though was the balance. I think once he gets "his guys" at BU we will see 5-7 players scoring in or near double digits with a different scoring threat on a nightly basis. That's what made those KSU teams so difficult to defend against. Anybody could "go off" on any given night.

Probably the most striking statistics are:
The assists/turnovers- 111 assists (on 239 baskets), and 160 turnovers
The 28% three point percentage for the year
The league worst 65.6% free throw percentage

These areas need improvement or it will hurt us in league play.

Last year we were deficient in these three categories as well. What's so encouraging (to some) is that this team is playing so well in spite of this. I can't help but think that our young and inexperienced team will continue to improve in all categories. The sky is not falling. The future looks bright for Bradley Basketball. :)

First, the assists/turnover ration has never been anywhere close to this bad at any time in the last 9 years. Second, neither has the 3-point shooting. And those numbers that you are touting were terrible in your eyes, and others' prior to this year. If we were missing our two best players, maybe I could be as excited as you seem to be. All I am saying is we need to get better, and play better as a team.
