Line up change

Geno please make a line up change it's better late than never. Playing time is a reward for good play right now every spot should be open.

Interesting thought, albeit from just a fan who some people say has no right to question these things though there was an infinite amount of it the past several years from those very same people, i.e. hypocrites
For the record, we have started the exact same lineup for 19 of the 20 games, and the only exception was the SIU game when Eastman started in place of DSE for what was referred to as an injury. In that game DSE came off the bench very early and played 28 minutes.

Well it seems it wouldn't hurt...but who would you start? Everyone has had some clunker games

I didn't watch the game last night...I have dvr'd it but I'm thinking for the sounds of it that I really don't need to see it.

+1.

Maybe find a game where we start AT with JP, but that would depend on how they would match up with the other team.
I would prefer to see us settle down and pass the ball around etc.

Give us an idea of who you would start. I am not saying that change isn't needed but other then AT for JP or JE for someone I would be interested in who else you would change. I can think of changes we could make but am not sure it would really help. My other thing is does it really make a difference who starts as we still use 7-8 main players and for the most part that is it.
I guess, for me, it would be more of a case when the players aren't hustling or following the game plan that they would go to the bench until they decide to play according to what the coaching staff wants-whether that be the 5 minutes or the remainder of the game and even more then that. This, for me, isn't anything new and I did it on more then one occasion. Nothing bothers me more then seeing a player get by w/ going through the motions and not really playing the way the coaching staff wants and have no repurcussions for it.

I would mostly like to just see us start our 5 best defenders, or more accurately, the 5 players most willing to play hard on defense.

I would say stix for pross and eastman for shayok. But changing the starters should't matter as much as 12 to 20 pts from anyone not named Taylor or Walt or Dyricus, that could be 4 from milos and crawford and shayok shayok, or hodges who seems to be a banger each or somthin along those lines, I like our offense specialy since thats only gonna get better, Defenseive wise I think we just play a better zone than man, we seem more active with our hands in the zone, Growing pains hurt lol but we are growing, worst thing for me was the trouble we had with the aces ball pressure when we should have been blowin right by these guys we were picking up the dribble and turning the ball over. We havnt peaked yet which might be good for us if we peak say in early March!

Peaking in early March means we may get to play on March 2nd. - 1 more game than we thought. I am relatively optimistic, but no way we get past CU or WSU after Rnd 1.

We played maybe our best game from start to finish vs. Creighton at home and still almost lost by double-digits to them. Wichita St.??? Haha

Wow - here's an interesting stry
John Beilein - head coach at Michigan saw his team hit a slump so he changed up the STARTING LINEUP for Tuesday's game -
It was the first alteration in the starters for 17 games!!!
...and the players responded and they proceeded to knock off #9 ranked Michigan State

John Beilein's son Pat Beilein WAS hired as Director of Basketball Operations by Geno so maybe this story will affect Geno's selections for starters...

I would like to see AT in for Prosser, just to see what the result would be. Perhaps it could even motivate JP a little more and become better defensively. Hey it worked for Rex Ryan with Sanchez right ;)

Michigan has the depth to do that, other then a change at center we do not have decent enough reserves to do that, I think if Geno thought it had any chance at working he would try changing the lineup.

Michigan has the depth to do that,...

I think it can work at any level with any talent...

Even a move like the one Kentucky head coach Joe B. Hall made in 1978 can get the desired response...

In the 1978 NCAA Tournament -- Kentucky faced Florida State and played lazily in the first half
and ALL five starters were benched to start the 2nd half..
Seriously -- he was playing for the chanced to advance and be the National Champions
and he began the 2nd half with subs & deep subs...trailing 39-32...

Guess what -- those guys played their butts off and stayed in the game for nearly 10 minutes -
battling back to 45-44.
Then when Hall re-inserted the starters, those guys finally played like their starting positions depended on a little effort and hustle and the went on to a 14-0 run and Kentucky ultimately won the game and then went on the 1978 National Championship....I know - I was there at this game in Knoxville.
It was a shocking move which had UK fans totally stunned to see their All Americans sitting on the bench!
But this one move alone cemented Joe B. Hall into legend for his coaching ability.

Not necessarily a line-up change, but when the game is out of reach, which has been the case too many times, clear the bench and see what the deep reserves can do.
