THREE Michigan players leaving & transferring

Found quite a bit of talk on their boards that there's also a rumor around that super frosh Trey Burke also considering same...
Max may luck into what MR had his freshman year - get a lot of playing time simply by default!!

What's the reason for all the activity?
 
don't know - no official word as to why -- being kept secret..but may have to do with a couple really talented freshmen coming in who some feel will earn immediate playing time ahead of those who are waiting..

Soph Evan Smotrycz is the only really significant name and would have been the 3rd leading returning scorer...
then sophomore forward Colton Christian and freshman guard Carlton Brundidge

***Alert*** this is a thread from LAST YEAR -- not current...
this is about the time of year that players who are going to transfer start making their plans known...
as you can see from this thread from a year ago - so I wonder who will be the transfers available this spring...most will want to make their plans known before other schools start locking up all their available scholarships in the spring signing period.
Also Fields & Grier both decided to transfer in the latter half of March last year..

BTW - Smotrycz landed at Maryland
Brundidge landed at Detroit
Christian landed at FIU
 
And Michigan was just fine this year without the 3 transfers.

Obvious answer about why Smotrycz was Morgan, Horford and McGary were going to play and take his minutes even though he played significant minutes last season.
