Drug dealer at the center of a "large scale marijuana case" says he's been supplying dope for the Kansas basketball players ..

oddly quite a few news sources in or near Kansas are not carrying this interesting story...

I suspect this story will die as fast as that multimillion dollar ticket stealing and scalping scandal did

Coaches know which players are using, and which players aren't. I'm fairly confident that even here in Peoria there have been players who the coaches knew were 420 friendly.

Law enforcement officals apparently became suspicious of KU players' drug use after interviewing KU's new Director of Basketball Operations and their new Student Trainer:

A major drug scandal would be players indicted of selling marijuana. Finding out that several players purchased marijuana is barely news. If this guy really distributed over 1000 kilos of weed, it is safe to say he probably supplied most of the campus.

Personally I think it should be bigger news as to how many pre-med and nursing students he supplied. I am way more concerned with future medical professionals using drugs than I am basketball players.

If you know of any scandal involving medical students or medical professionals, then please feel free to discuss that on a message board dedicated to medical professionals. But to bring this up as an excuse here is silly. Each D1 athlete signs an agreement to follow the team rules, and every team in the country has rules against the use of illegal drugs. So does the NCAA. It is also illegal almost everywhere in the US.
If this kind of news ever surfaced at a school like Bradley, we all know there would be hysterical so-called fans screaming "renegade" and calling for firings.

and oh....speaking of Kansas - you can practically hear the weeping and wailing going on there from here in Illinois...
they have lost back to back games -- at home to Oklahoma State then to a near-300 RPI TCU squad!!!
Their message boarders are not currently in a good mood...as the Jayhawks drop into a tie with hated "cross state" rivals Kansas State (7-2)
(actually the two schools are separated by just 80 miles of I-70)

Apparently they're growing a lot more than just wheat in Kansas!

No wonder Dorothy wanted to get back to Kansas so bad!

Well while I do agree that I especially don't want anyone in the medical profession using drugs, I also don't want ANYONE using drugs as it effects everyone. And besides, two wrongs don't make a right.

Yes, maybe this drug scandal explains the recent play of Kansas!

Btw, to change the subject just one second, if Kansas gets a one or two seed after losing to this joke of a team, will Wichita State even make the tournament after losing to a 220 something RPI SIU team?

We'll soon find out in about a month from now!
