Unfortunately, BU is ranked LAST in in the MVC in RPI right now. Just another reason why the Tennessee Tech game was an absolute trap-game killer. Not to rehash that nightmare all over, any lick of defense in the last 5 minutes and we're 6-2 instead of 5-3, and our only losses are to 2 traditional Big Ten powers.

Yeah, it was a bad loss, but just ask Marquette how they feel after last night! Or Kansas for that matter! It happens to all of us at one time or another.

FYI though, BU's RPI is much higher than it was two days ago at this time due to us playing Michigan St, and big wins by DePaul and UIC. If we can get 8 or 9 OOC wins this year (including the Bracket Buster), and 9 or 10 conference wins, we still will have a good chance of hosting an NIT game or two.

Yeah, and the Valley is a couple of bad losses away from being ranked #2! I still don't think we'll finish this high, but fifth or sixth still looks good.

I know. I just hate giving away games to inferior teams. The program has turned the corner in a number of areas, but we won't truly have arrived until we can make a drastic improvement in our road performances.

Do you think if the Big Ten finishes behind the Valley in RPI that they'll consider giving up the BT/ACC Challenge, because of all the non conference losses it gives them?
I doubt it, since it still gives them tons of money, which is what they really covet the most.
The Big East will also learn from Syracuse's mistake and will stop scheduling the Valley.

The SEC, the Big XII, and MWC took big hits, because of a couple losses to low-ranked teams.
In the SEC, Tennessee has lost two straight, and South Carolina, Kentucky, Auburn, Florida, and Arkansas all lost over the weekend.
In the Big 12, Texas Tech, Nebraska, Kansas State, Kansas, Texas, and Iowa State all lost.
