Shockers ranked

#23 in the AP poll. Coaches poll is not out yet.

They are #27 in the ESPN/Coaches poll. VCU is #24 and 13-0 Wyoming is #25. The Mountain West Conference just missed having four teams ranked in both polls. VCU and Wyoming were ranked #26 and #27 respectively in the AP poll, so that allowed the Shockers into this poll. I think they are very deserving of the ranking, and shows how close Bradley is to becoming at least a #25 caliber team at home, as Barry Hinson would say.

Nice to see 2 Valley teams ranked about halfway through the season.
I am impressed by Wichita St. They may not have played their BEST game of the season, but they played well and have great talent, and obviously the most depth in the Valley (even with 3 starters injured!!!)

I think Indy (blue) is the last hope for the Valley as far as an At-Large spot, and their margin for error is very slim. Their loss @ Moorehead was a killer.

I would say if they end up at 13-5 or better in the Valley, along with a BB win, they should get consideration heading into Arch Madness. I don't see that happening, but the middle-pack teams seem to be a tad better than mediocre, so they could squeak out some close wins vs. Evansville, UNI, BU, etc. They would also need at least 1 win vs. Wichita St. or Creighton to stand out on their resume.
This is all premature, as they could lose to Bradley on Wednesday, which could pretty much make this post irrelevant!

I think their lack of depth will hurt them in the long run.

I think the committee is willing to forgive early season losses to Morehead St. considering the great wins they have had recently. So far though they have not won any meaningful games within the Valley, and you're right that they really need at least one, if not two wins combined against WSU and CU.
