Banking on Lemon-Aide

Yet another amazing buzzer-beater for the Braves, thanks to Walt.
This probably will not be in the same category as the DJ "Shot heard round the Valley" or CR's bomb in a second a few years ago, but at least it happened in a meaningful game (at least when played) like the others. I can't think of another MVC team who has had more amazing buzzer-beaters in the last 20 years than BU.

I, like most fans, am very disappointed at how the lead vanished in a heartbeat in the game, but thinking more about it, this shot never would have occured and this game would probably just be remembered as another win, if remembered much at all years from now. Let's enjoy the last second heroically by Lemon Jr. and hope we won't take the last 3:30 of horrible hoops lightly for future games.
Remember that we unbelievably blew an 11-point lead to the 'birds in the final 1:30 a couple years ago and ended up with a loss. Feels good to avoid that kind of feeling.

Lemon's Drop.

I had thought of that too...and it DID in fact drop perfectly into the hoop.
A few more ideas:

"A touch of lemon"
"Lemon dash & drop"
"The Great Lemon Bank Deposit"
"Buzzer-beatin Bear banker"

So much went into that shot...the dash downcourt, splitting the defenders to free himself, the jump and float while shooting, the bank, and the mayhem that ensued.
I remember watching the CR 75-foot prayer that was answered about 20 times. I've already watched Walt's buzzer-beater 7 or 8 times.

At least the 3rd one we've had in the last 6 years (WL, CR, and Will Franklin against UNI in St. Louis in '07), plus Deon's in '96.

Always positive !!:p

I know you are correct it may have been lucky. I will take that though.

Thankfully though it wasn't one that had to go in like Butler's buzzer beater the other night. We still would have had overtime to try to win. But I always say that taking chances in an overtime game are very risky. So it's good that the game ended like this. :D
