Da Coach

Donte Thomas is on an official visit to the Bradley campus. I have heard he got here last night with his mother, and had dinner with the coaches and spent some time with the players.
Today he has been touring the campus and city. No word on whether he scrimmaged with the players.

Here is more on Donte Thomas-

Donte Thomas apparently watched a scrimmage with our players late this afternoon, but sat out and did not participate.

Donte Thomas did scrimmage with our players earlier today, then met with our coaches, then headed back home.
The report I got from the scrimmage was positive- he looked good! He is very athletic and shot the ball well.

Yup - even tho our primary target would have been to land a point guard - we will need some replacement for Tyshon Pickett and Donte has those skills...
he can also play a little on the wing and then just getting a Chicago area kid gets our name mentioned up there

Don't care who got it first. Think it just goes to show how interested we all are in BU basketball. I know as soon as I saw it on the PJS website, I jumped on here to report it but it was reported here already. Good job Geno, keep it up.

Illinois Prep Bullseye article-

There is one slight inaccuracy. They say, "Thomas ended up committing while on an official visit to Bradley this weekend.", but actually, when he left yesterday, he did not give the coaches any indication that he was ready to commit. But he had time to think about it and talk it over with his mother and when the coaches called him this morning, he eagerly committed.

Some video of Donte from high school...man can he jump or what?

I had a chance to watch his highlight video, and several of the other game videos posted on that site. Donte can really jump, but I like that he also made a couple three pointers in the highlight video, he appears to handle the ball better that many of the recruiting sites report, and his shot looks smooth.
Donte looks good in several of the other game videos posted on that site, too.
Funny that one of them is against Bradley (High School)-
