Dave posts a new article tonight just to remind Bradley fans how bad they were this weekend.

Also interesting that Dave points out that Bradley has a 20 game losing streak west of the Mississippi.
But somehow he manages to drag out and attach only Jim Les' name to the 20-game losing streak.
But the way I count, 19 of the 20 losses came after Jim Les was gone. But maybe he thinks somehow the losses are still Jim Les' fault because he started the streak? SMH.

Another thing I notice, then I'll leave it alone-
Dave says this:
But some positives emerged from the Pacific loss that may bode well as Bradley heads into its final nonconference game Saturday at Carver Arena against 8-2 South Florida.
The Braves' defense and rebounding, the team's strengths early in the season, were improved over Friday.

Against Portland on Friday Bradley lost the rebounding battle 35-27, and gave up 74 points on 44.6% shooting.
Against Pacific on Saturday, Bradley lost the rebounding battle 38-31, and gave up 71 points on 45.7% shooting.

I am no paid expert, but if that is what we call improvement, no wonder we don't seem to be winning games.
Maybe we just need more help from "Those hoop deities".

How in the world is he blaming Les? Frankly, that quote was meant to be ****ing to Geno, not Les. He's pointing out that Geno hasn't even won west of that river.

And how in the world can you even conclude that was a Les slam? Les didn't contribute a single loss to that 20-game losing streak.

All it says about Les is that the last time we won west of the Mississippi was Les's final win. How do you read that as blaming Les for the streak?

in searching for positives - there's also this comment...
"On the other end against Pacific, BU exhibited a more fluid passing and movement attack against zone defense."

OK- but if the idea is passing - obviously to get better shots - then how does he explain so FEW assists - only 7 against Portland, 8 vs. Pacific, plus such terrible shooting accuracy?

if our attack against the zone is so improved, how does that explain our worst two performances against a zone so far this year in both gaining assists & hitting the baskets?

and I was the first one to say I applauded Swopshire's outside shooting - but I have to be skeptical he will be the key to zone-busting the rest of this year.
I recall another player who as a freshman TWICE came off the bench and drained 3-three-pointers - link - link, causing the same kind of buzz about his 3-point shooting prowess.

I recall Geno mentioning once that he didn't think there was anyone who could beat Milos in a game of 'around the world'. I think it was the other parts of the game that kept Milos off the floor. I did once attend a practice and watch him drain shot after shot from NBA range.

First- Les did contribute the first loss of that streak whe Bradley was eliminated from the 2011 tournament. But the he brings up this bizarre 20 game "west of the Mississippi losing streak" like it is some kind of official NCAA record classification, then the only name mentioned is Jim Les like hes resposible.
Then instead of putting the heat for losing where it belongs, he blames some absurd basketball deity for forcing such bad luck on Bradley. Just more butt kissing from the PJS.

exactly??¦.just giving a reference of time on how long it's been since a win west of the river??¦..heck if Les lost all games west of the river then Mo's name would have been mentioned too??¦.and then he could be blamed:)

back when Geno was hired he begged the press to be honest...

Geno said if the team sucked he expected they should say that...

No Les blaming at all - not sure how anyone can interpret it as such. I took it as a compliment that things were ok then, but have gotten worse since.

Let's hope Santa leaves a couple rebounds or a made jump shot or two in the MBB Braves players' Christmas stockings this year.

I don't think they deserve lumps of coal..

GF needs to find a couple top recruits for 2014-15 in his 2013 Xmas stocking!

Basketball is a game of adjustments.... Lets hope GF and the players make some when the MVC Regular Season comes around!
