Another RPI jump for BU

I got an email from Jerry Palm (www.collegerpi.com) last year answering my question of how the different sites have different rankings of RPI....

He plainly said the NCAA has made the formula public, he calculates the formula correctly, his numbers are right.

What later got exposed was how some games were being calculated differently. Just an example: One site might consider Butler vs Purdue in Indy a Nuetral game - others may calculate it as a Home game for Butler.

Jerry Palm sent a list of games to the NCAA last February he found to be in question. The NCAA changed THEIR calculations to match Palm's in every game except one.

Even this year, Palm has UIC calculated as the Home team for games played at the Chicago Tourney this year. He has said it is just one of the games he is gonna question the NCAA over.

So... who is right?

Obviously, the NCAA when they release their RPI sometime in February. But until then, I'd put my stock in Palm.

Currently, at Palm's collegerpi.com site, Bradley is 48th with a SOS of 62.

RealTime isn't off by much. It has BU at 46th with the same SOS, 62.
