I don't believe anyone from the MVC has led the nation in scoring since Hersey Hawkins did back in 1988...
Doug McDermott will be nation's scoring leader this year as long as he doesn't go scoreless in the next couple games.
I know he's not in the MVC any more but we came close -
also - Evansville's DJ Balentine will finish 8th nationally...he should be getting more national press - but Evansville did poorly this season, and Wichita got all the press..
