With the receipt of the signed NLI from Kendahl Amerson, it leaves Bradley with 3 more scholarships to give out. Who will be the next commitment Bradley might get?

The most likely next commitment, IMO, would seem to be the player visiting this weekend, Warren Jones.
We were the first to have Warren's name linked to Bradley back on January 20, and in early April we reported that Coach Ford was still very interested in getting Jones to visit and try to get a commitment from him.-

Dave Reynolds mentions Jones and his upcoming visit in his article from last PM-

BU recruit Warren Jones from Southeastern Community College (Iowa) is scheduled to visit Friday and Saturday (April 18-19) for an official visit. He could possibly take one of Bradley's 3 remaining open scholarships, if it is offered to him. According to multiple recruiting sites, Jones has interest from several other schools (SIU, EIU, Evansville, Loyola, Milwaukee), but no other solid offers yet.

The last BU visitor, Dontavious Sears, has still not made a decision, and does not seem to be in any hurry to make one. That might suggest he is waiting to talk to the new coaching staffs at several of the schools which have offered scholarships, or perhaps waiting for other "dominos to fall" that would open other options for him.
There is also no confirmation that Bradley offered him a scholarship.

And as was noted elsewhere, Josh Cunningham's decision seems to be nearing a record for being dragged out and delayed, but it is now set for next week, possibly Monday, at Chicago Morgan Park High School. The emerging leader now appears to be possibly South Carolina, the most recent school he visited, though I have heard from an insider at Indiana that Tom Crean is making a strong finishing push. Josh has taken all 5 of his allowable official visits, but he may still be making one more unofficial visit this weekend to DePaul.

There is no truth to the rumor that his coach is trying to get a waiver from the NCAA to allow a dozen more visits.

we really need some big bodies....
the only players we have even available to us who are over 6-4 are either extremely inexperienced and not likely to log many minutes - one coming off knee surgery and may be a RS-candidate (Thomas, Wells), foul prone and not very productive, or better suited to playing a SF/wing and not really a low post banger.
None are big, wide bodies that are what we will face all year in the Valley.

Auston Barnes 6-8
Mike Shaw 6-8
Xzavier Taylor 6-9
Nate Wells 7-1
Donte Thomas 6-6

I wonder if we are waiting on sears until we hear from Cunningham or if he might have been asked to wait if he did receive an offer.

I hear South Carolina is beautiful, but from a basketball standpoint, I just don't get it. Plus, Frank Martin is wacko.

but the way it's going with so many unpredictable twists & turns - I think that actually favors Bradley because it is NOT the orthodox, go-to-the-biggest-school type decision-

According to a tweet from Preps Bullseye, Cunningham is taking an unofficial to St. Johns this weekend. He must really like going on visits. I think our chances are low for him, unless he is realistic about the place where he would thrive.

He has to pay for the expenses of these unofficial visits, too. And last minute air flights and accommodations in New York City can be expensive.

Don't think it's just me when I now say there's something about Josh Cunningham's recruitment that doesn't seem right. More than meets eye.

I think we can still land Cunningham. But I agree there is something fishy going on with his recruitment. When a decision is finally made I hope the truth comes out. Also, I think Jermaine Morgan would be a great addition to the team. Hopefully, Coleman can lock him down as well.

In all reality what is he going to say? Irvin is a promoter when it comes to his players. I am sure if someone asked him about Bradley he would say great things too.

Nice to see some intelligent comments about this-

If anyone thinks that a top prospect is gonna take an unofficial visit half way across the country you are naive. Period.

While Warren Jones is enjoying his official visit to Bradley, we have heard of another "Jones" that Bradley is recruiting.
Marvin Jones, a 6'10" forward from Highland Community College, is also now beginning to get recruiting interest from the Bradley coaches, who are still contemplating signing one more big man.

For a lot more information, check out the thread on Marvin Jones on the BradleyFans.com recruiting board-

I like that Marvin Jones is 6'10", but I think it would be a smart move to try to get a 5th year eligible big man. That way X can learn from them and become even better. Just my opinion.

For those who haven't seen it, there is news this morning that new BU recruit Marvin Jones decided to commit to Kent State, so he is now off the board.

It looks like Bradley may wind up the spring recruiting just in time for the live evaluation of the 2015 class. I believe it is supposed to start April 25th and last a week.
