But it has not yet been announced. Perhaps it is for the same reason that a lot of new coaches delay hiring new assistants, because they can be a little more free to work off campus during an NCAA "quiet period", which resumes tomorrow.

If true, congratulations to Jaden, who is a great guy and I wish him success.

The attached story was written with regards to college football, but it does a very good job of explaining Contact Period, Evaluation Period, Quiet Period, and Dead Period in a clear and simplistic way.

After serving one season as an assistant coach under Jeff Neubauer at Fordham, former Bradley assistant Jaden Uken's job has just changed.
One of the other Fordham assistants (Tony Chiles) just left, but Neubauer elevated his Director of Basketball Operations (Michael DePaoli) to an assistant coaching position, and then hired another new assistant coach, too (Ali Ton). And, the other assistant coach, Rodney Crawford, got a promotion to Associate Head Coach.
Thus the 3 assistant coaching positions were filled, and Jaden Uken was moved down to a non-coaching position, Director of Basketball Operations, for 2016-17.

yeah - this is really an extremely odd situation...a guy being demoted on his own staff from a coaching position to a non-coaching spot...
and weren't we told that Uken was Geno Ford's top recruiter - even given the title "Recruiting Coordinator" - and the guy capable of landing top talent?

The head coach Jeff Neubauer has unfortunately gotten a little bad press as well.

Comcast has the game between Fordham and George Mason and they've shown the Fordham bench many times, and I haven't see Jaden Uken there.
Last year, without much explanation, his role was changed from assistant coach to Director of Basketball operations.
