#4 Gillette playing #1 ranked Trinity right now -- live streaming
http://www.njcaatv.com/landing/index

Kavell and the Gillette Pronghorns kinda kicking butt - up a dozen in 2nd half

watching this game - and I know it is just juco but these are two of the bext juco teams in the nation...
and Kavell Bigby-Williams controls the paint like Kareem Abdul-Jabbar - big time programs are going to be all over him
He already has 18 points & 17 rebounds plus a few awesome blocks

Trinity has former BU recruit Josh Stamps - who has currently 9 pts, 4 reb

can't wait to see the box score...
Kavell Bigby-Williams was forced to sit much of the final 10 minute with some questionable foul calls that sure helped Trinity stay close...
but unofficially he has 19 pts & 21 rebounds..and probably 10 blocks..
and really their offense doesn't even look for him as the guards kinda dominate and take a lot of shots..

Trinity has a kid Leon Gilmore that spent his freshman year at Creighton before he came to Trinity

Official stats...LINK
Gillette 87 - Trinity 83
Kavell Bigby-Williams 19 pts, 20 rebounds, 7 blocks (seemed like more and even the broadcasters had him for 10)
..on just 12 shots that he pretty much had to earn himself from offensive rebounds & putbacks since they really don't ever pass him the ball that much.

In the first Division I NJCAA semifinal in Hutchinson, Kansas, Gillette lost to Salt Lake CC. They will play the winner of the second semifinal between Hutchinson CC (Kansas) and Ranger CC (Texas).

78-78 Overtime!

in DI juco Kirkwood has already advanced to play in the Championship game, currently South Suburban is playing Triton for the other finalist spot
Kirkwood came back from 23 points down!!!

I know there's prob not a lot of interest in the DII game
but South Suburban has played almost all of the 2nd half with every one of their key players has 4 fouls...
and yet they have battled...Jovan Mooring had 29
but Triton beats South Suburban 82-77

You think?

Kavell Bigby-Williams ends his juco career with a win..

Gillette wins the 3rd place game over Billy Gillispie's Ranger College 74-72
Kavell had 18 pts, 11 rebs, 6 blocks - took just 7 shots and went 6-7
the guy is amazing - he took only 7 of his team's 53 shots, yet he leads the team with 18 of his team's 74 pts.
If I had a guy like that I'd feed him the ball every time down court.
If their offense even acted like he existed- he'd easily score 50 pts..

Kirkwood & Hunter Rhodes play for the NJCAA DII Title in about an hour

The ICC women advance to the championship game of the NCAA Division II Women's Tournament-

It looks like the ICC women will finish as runner-ups in the NJCAA Championship game.
Midway through the final quarter in the championship game against Kansas City Kansas CC the ICC women are trailing 70-51. They had a great season, and will finish 32-5. Congratulations to them.

Also, in the Division I men's juco final- Hutchinson CC loses the championship on their home court to Salt Lake CC-
Final- Salt Lake CC 74 Hutchinson 64

This is the 2nd NJCAA D1 championship in the last 8 years for Salt Lake CC. They also won the national championship in 2009.

In D2 women's NJCAA basketball-
The ICC women lose to Kansas City Kansas CC 81-59, and finish runners-up for the championship.

In D2 men's NJCAA basketball-
Kirkwood CC wins the national championship over Triton CC 83-76.
Kirkwood's leading scorer on the season was Hunter Rhoades from Canton. He averaged 13 ppg and shot 45% from three. He has been on Bradley's recruiting radar.

Billy Gillispie's Ranger college wins & advances..
the Tournament is now down to 16 teams remaining - single elimination...
The next game of substantial interest to Bradley fans is the 4:30pm game
Neosho County CC vs. Gillete

Billy Gillispie is no stranger to controversy..and has some new controversy now...

His junior college team that went 31-7 and finished 4th in the National Tourney-
may now have to forfeit all 31 wins...and their 4th place finish.
Even four of those 7 losses were wins that were forfeited due to a separate violation...
