Scholarships Open?

If I am correct, here's our scholarship situation....
We have one scholarship open plus K-Darrel and Shaw graduating which is three scholarships. If two people leave the team, this is two more for a total of five. We have committed four (Koch Bar, Nate K., D. Brown, and Jaden H.) which would leave one open scholarship. Is this correct?

Your numbers are correct, except as of now, none of the returning players have decided to leave. So we are currently over-committed by one scholarship.

Coach....My prediction.....Two players will leave after Brian talks with all of them. We will then have one open scholarship which I predict will go to a Jr. C. player which will help our Junior/Senior balance.

I think your' prediction is quite likely - but there's one grad transfer and one Aaron-Zobrist-like-shooter-walkon that I am hoping to see.
Wiz- I am sending you a PM - some things I heard in St. Louis...lmk if anyone else interested

I would like to see another big man and a shooter.

I think we will have 3 scholarship players leave. If you were a scholarship freshman on this team, that lost 27 games, and were competing for playing time with 5 other scholarship freshmen, and didn't log many minutes, you will never get to play.

I am interested too

If there's a silver lining - it's that with all the new tourneys, CBI, CIT, etc...
half the MVC will still keep practicing in preparation for a hoped-for bid...

Our guys can hit the road and recruit, recruit, recruit....

I believe Wardle indicated in his post-game interview that he was giving players a couple of weeks off. Maybe I heard incorrectly. I thought it was a good time for the coaches to be looking at players in the tournaments.

I'd be interested as well in what is happening.

Without naming names, which I would prefer not to see on the board, I'd suggest look at the playing time- that will predict which player(s) will most likely be leaving. I also predict there will be one surprise departure.

I would like a PM with your predictions.

Thanks.

I agree totally. Player names should be left off. I would also not be surprised if another player that played several minutes would leave. Some of these kids are a long way from home. Being a long way from home (west coast to east coast) is one thing. Being from another country, on another continent is another thing.
