Which past Bradley Brave ....

#1- played for a team named the Purefoods Giants?
#2- played for a team named the Wallongong Hawks?
#3- played for Maine Maritime Academy?

see if you can get all three - I will post the answers later..

1) David Thirdkill
2) Cameron Rigby

That third question must be extra tricky because I'm coming up empty. Zecevic played for Lee Academy in Maine. :?:

good work - both of those were a little tough...
a couple people who choose not to post - had PM'ed me guesses, but nobody had gotten the 2nd one yet - so good work PhiAlphaBoy

Answers to:
#1- He was a star in the Philippines after he won his NBA ring with the Celtics, David Thirdkill
#2- Has a long pro career in the Australian Leagues, Cameron Rigby

but the third one is a Molinari player who left abruptly due to academics, and could only find one obscure place he'd be able to go to and play right away since he had already taken a redshirt and a transfer again would cost all his remaining eligibilty - so somehow he landed at the Maritime Academy - which back about 15 years ago was a pretty strong DII program..

The evidence for his transfer there is long gone from the internet - as it consisted only of a couple local Maine news reports about his scoring prowess.
Hint- he was pretty good in the small number of games he played for Bradley - good enough to make the MVC All-Newcomer Team in his only year as a Brave

Here is another trivia question that might be easy for some fans that go back a bit. Who is this former Bradley player who was a key player for one of Bradley's best teams in the last 30 years? I'll add a couple clues if someone doesn't get him quickly.

He is the guy on the right in this picture- which I picked because it is not easy to see him clearly-

Hint- when we talk about some of our players the past few years never improving much, it always made me think of this Chicago player, who worked hard and improved significantly every year he was at Bradley.

This clue will give it away- he played on a Missouri Valley Championship team, and NCAA team, and an NIT team, and no Bradley player has done that since.

Here is a better picture of him-

Actually, I don't quite recall what Paul Wilson looked like... but I don't think that is him.

Some other names that might fit the clues.... that played on a MVC Champ, in the NIT and in the NCAA... Reggie Hall, Kerry Burrell, and Dwayne Funches.

Nice guesses- I am sorry, I didn't think it would be this hard.
It is Kerry Burrell, who still lives in Chicago, and works in the tech field.

He was one of the "Three Amigos" as Dave Snell sometimes called the 3 guards on the 1996-97 NIT team- Anthony Parker, Aaron Zobrist, and Kerry Burrell. Kerry also was a part of the 1996 MVC regular season champion and NCAA team.
Coach Molinari once told me nobody ever worked harder at improving his game offensively and defensively as Kerry did.

Yea... can see it now.

He was more of a defensive specialist but recall he was a very hard worker and got better every year.

Just saw this thread and would have guessed Kerry Burrell...yes I know it's easy to say now;).................the first hint about improvement gave it away to me....
