UNI is the only MVC team that has a lower scoring average than Bradley- UNI 67.3 ppg, Bradley 68.7 ppg.

If we play well, why wouldn't we have a decent chance to win with our crowd revving it up?

There hasn??™t been much of a crowd in a long time...and I??™m sure the temps below 0 won??™t help. Besides...UNI is gonna be ???playing angry??? after what the lowly Salukis did to them in Cedar Falls :-P;)

I look to at least stay competitive in this game.
Prediction: UNI 68 BU 61

I hope you are right. Bradley handled UNI pretty easily last year in Peoria. The Braves never trailed in that game, lead by 15 points at halftime, lead by double digits most of the second half and stretched the lead to 18 points with 2?? minutes left before UNI scored 8 straight points in the final couple minutes to make the final margin 11 points.
Bradley won 72-61

Northern Iowa was 14-16 overall last season, but they tied for 3rd place in the MVC with a 9-9 league record.

Brings back memories of another Sunday afternoon game a few years back after a really big snow storm on Saturday. Not many made it to that game, but her and I did. Think UNI was the opponent that day also but not sure.

Much bigger crowd than I expected for a Sunday, New Years Eve, 1 PM game. By far the biggest crowd of the season.

Didn't Jojo McGlaston leave the team or was booted? Seems like he was allowed back. Anyone have the story on him? ESPN has him scoring a three a few minutes ago.

Thanks for the replies.

That’s an error by ESPN, he is not with the team today.

Most likely when 24 in purple scored it was accredited to 24 in white, which was jojo

I left at halftime with BU trailing by one. I just came back and see the Braves are up by 17. Either UNI went into a catatonic stupor or a fire got lit under BU, maybe both.

Darrel Brown went off. Jacking long contested threes as soon as he got up court. Easily the player of the game, it helped that our d was spectacular in the second half. I don??™t remember the last time we were up nearly that much against UNI

Great game, and especially a great 2nd half. Bradley outscored UNI in the second half 40-20 to pull away for the easy win. Tremendous performance by Darrell Brown, and excellent games by Donte Thomas, Elijah Childs, Nate Kennell, DLO, Stipanovich, van Bree, and Hodgson.

The crowd was great. No attendance number yet, but looked like 6,000 or better.

Bradley seemed to play a different style of game today, compared with the game at Drake. Instead of a slowed down game looking to get the ball inside, we played a faster tempo, and took shots much earlier in the shot clock if they were good shots. It resulted in Bradley going 9-14 from three (64.3%), and 23-48 overall (47.9%). Their average scoring possession length was 16 seconds, which is lower than most games. They also rebounded well, outrebounding UNI 33-27.

And I thought today's postgame show was much better and was more informative than some of the previous ones. Thanks Coach Wardle!

Darrel Brown went off. ...
I hate to say it but we went away from a patterned offense and for a short stretch our guys were just launching any shot that looked good - Brown, Kennell, Childs....and
this unorthodox stretch resulted in a swing from 5 points down (39-34) to 16 points ahead (65-45) in a ten minute span from about the 16 minute mark to the 6 minute mark!
In those 10 minutes we outscored them 31-9, and we were playing small with nobody over 6-7 (Childs) pretty much the whole stretch.

It's been 3 years since we beat any MVC opponent by 19 pts and 12 years since we've beaten UNI by 19 points! GO Braves!!
