MVC Championship game Sunday, 3/4

sometimes Phil Fayne is unstoppable down low - but seems when that happens, ISU starts jacking up 3's in the first 5 seconds of each possession...
Hein, Tinsley, Williams all shoot around 30% from 3-pt, while Fayne leads the entire Valley in FG% against conference opponents (65.2%) so why not get him the ball?
N'Diaye also has been shooting around 60% since January but took only one shot...

A former member, Wichita State, lost at home 62-61 to Cincinnati and lost a chance to clinch the AAC regular season championship. They had 3 shots in the last 10 seconds. Too bad so sad.

And yet we will have a top 5 seed, at worst, in the tourney....sucks to be us......

All of the Valley just wishes they were in our shoes.

But hey, good job with the improvement this year. Maybe someday you can have the season Loyola did and MAYBE get a 11 or 12 seed.....

congrats on a good season but tough loss to Cincy...
..it may yet sukk to be you if the NCAA finally realizes you have been paying players...time has a way of evening things out...
...and btw- Bradley HAS WON four National Tournaments (back when they meant something and there weren't 100 teams playing NCAA/NIT)
..and Bradley has played in the Championship Game twice - how many times has Wichita done those things?

Damnit! You got me ;).

Seriously though. I do hope you guys keep your rise. Would rather see you guys fighting for titles than the redturds, UNI or anyone else really.

With the history you guys have you deserve to be there again. Good luck going into next year.

Oh and WSU hasn't paid any players. Until it is proven otherwise. $2000 from an agent to Fred during the last couple months of his senior year hardly condemns WSU.

But we will see. Truth will come out for EVERYONE. What happens, happens.

LOL enjoy all your vacated wins and Final 4 appearance as if it never happened.

Here's your research..

"Wichita State vacates 69 baseball victories, 2013 NCAA appearance"
http://www.kansas.com/sports/college/wichita-state/article17990345.html

the player in question who may have received payment was on your 2013 final Four team

Per the YahooSports report
Fred VanVleet "received more than $1,000 from an agent during his senior year at Wichita State.
The report also says VanVleet's stepfather received $2,000 from the agency while VanVleet was at WSU."

Lol baseball....lmao

Anyway. He reportedly got $1000 and $2000 for his dad from an AGENT NOT ASSOCIATED WITH WSU IN ANY WAY. Beginning in January of his SENIOR year.

Therefore at MOST they would take away January, Feb, March of his SENIOR year.

Would not touch FINAL FOUR WHEN HE WAS A FRESHMAN.

And again. They have yet to implicate WSU in any wrong doing.

Like I said we will see. But I am NOT worried

If I was WSU fan, I honestly wouldn't be worried at all either. Not because of my program's innocence, but because the corrupt governing body won't bring any meaningful pain onto a corrupt member from a major market.

When lo-and-behold some things are uncovered about the only two programs that somehow shot to dominance in our league and graduated up... there appears to a layman to be a correlation between cheating and winning.

Again, I wouldn't be worried at all either. But it would bother me because I want my program to do things right.

Shocker fan, I??™m not bitter about you guys leaving the Valley like BU IMO,should have done a few years back also. Good luck in any tournament you get invited to.

yet another guy that woulda helped ISU - Roland Griffin...
run off a couple years ago at ISU, now at Iona...
was the star and an absolute MONSTER in the MAAC Tournament and carried Iona to their 5th NCAA bid in the last 8 years from the #4 seed position!!

29 points - he becomes at least the 5th recent ISU player who left & got to the NCAA Tourney before ISU did.
(Griffin, Lynch, Lofton, McIntosh, Zeisloft)

I meant to include one of these, ;), after my too bad so sad comment as I mostly said it in jest shockerfan13. I don't begrudge Wichita movin on up. And I actually have said time and time again on this forum how much I've liked your players over the years. And this years team is no exception. Just can't stand your overbearing, self important, bully of a coach. Enjoy your first round matchup against Loyola. ;)

Some people predicted doom for the MVC after Wichita State left...

BUT instead, the Valley was as EXCITING and as good as it's been in a long time...
the tourney was competitive and well attended....I know I sure enjoyed it more and so did everyone else I talked to.

AND GUESS WHAT...TV ratings for the games broadcast were up over 30% from when Wichita was playing!!!!!
"Sunday’s Loyola Chicago-Illinois State Missouri Valley Championship had a 1.2 (+33%) and 1.76 million (+30%) on CBS
the largest audience for the game since 2011".

http://www.sportsmediawatch.com/2018/03/mls-ratings-premier-league-college-hoops/

Isn't that amazing- the complete collapse of the Missouri Valley seems to have NOT HAPPENED!!!

Hasn??™t collapsed but sure nothing like it used to be. Having a balanced league doesn??™t make it a strong league.

If you??™re complaining about a geopgraphically compact mid-major league finishing 8th, you have unrealistic expectations.

CBS aired 4 games last weekend and the MVC final finished 2nd in the 18-49 demo. Complain away...
