14-7 Good or Bad?

14 wins and 7 losses, that's better than BU did at this point last year (13-8 ),
and it is better than any season since 1998 when BU also won 14 of its first 21 and went to the NIT with a 17-12 seasons.
The last time BU was better after their first 21 games was in the Anthony Parker era,
1995-1996 when a 16-5 start sent BU to a 22-8 season and an NCAA bid.
"Each of the last six seasons since 1981 that the Braves have won 14 of their first 21 games, they have gone on to play in the postseason"

I see postseason play in Bradley's future this year. It would be great if it was NCAA, but as good as the MVC is, even if it's NIT, I would conside this season a resounding success.

Agreed. I didn't expect this level of play or W-L success from this year's team. :-o

I think any postseason opportunity would be welcome, and supported mightily by the BU faithful.....

You are right, considering what was predicted for this year's squad. This season is showing JL's true talent in coaching, getting the best out of the roster's strengths.

I'd like to see NCAA berth, its like we are spoiled after last year's success, but nothing wrong for reaching for the top!

Any postseason berth makes this season a success as B.U. lost 4 very good basketball players and were picked to finish 8th.

14-7 would be really good if BU was 14-7. Gotta take out the DII win as it does not count. BU will be 14-7 after Wednesday. This year will surpass my expectations once they get to 15 wins!!!!! It has been a very fun season and any post-season would be great.

I am pleased with our 14-7 record, but I can't consider the season to be a full-fledged success unless it ends in the NCAA tournament. That is not to say that I expected BU to get a bid before the season started, or even that I do now (although they have put themselves in a pretty good position to get one). Given what we lost last year, I think the coaching staff has done a great job to get us to 14-7. However, I wouldn't consider a mediocre season to be a success just because we were supposed to be less than mediocre, and I just can't get too excited about the NIT.

I guess some fans hold Bradley to a higher standard than others.
