Devan Bawinkel Rumor

A friend from Rockford area told me that after West Virigina's
loss to Texas, there may be some things happen that could
change Devan Bawinkel's mind about going to West Virginia.
Now that WV's season is done, there are rumors the
Mountaineer's coach Joh Beilein will be a hot commodity.
Both Indiana and Missouri have been mysteriously waiting for
something, and rumor is they were waiting for WV's season to
end to talk to Beilein.
If Beilein leaves West Virginia, then Bawinkel might ask out of
his LOI and reconsider schools in the midwest.
DePaul and Bradley are possibilities.
Still speculation, but apparently someone has already been
making phone calls.

Indiana may also be waiting to talk to Gonzaga coach Mark Few and possibly even Billy Gillespie or Tom Crean if they don't get one of the Sweet Sixteen coaches.

Bawinkel's name has dropped to the far reaches of the back pages, since once you commit it seems nobody wants to talk about you.
But in his Sectional game, Bawinklel was humbled by Seneca, scored only 8 pt and his team lost by 35!
Remember, this was Class A, could DB be overrated?

I saw him last year and thought he was a ball hog. Everytime he got the ball - he shot it. Most of the time, he just took the ball down himself, seemingly not looking to pass and just shot it.

Send him to Illinois State. I don't want him.

as one that has played against him, i dont like him (we lost, can you tell?)

but without the bias, I do think he is a bit undersized as well.....about 6'4" mayyyyybbe 6'5", but but he just doesnt seem to have the body that will be able to take the punishment.....

......plus he made his mind up......we're a sweet 16 team, we don't need to be someones second choice.

I think DB could have a nice career in the Valley with ANY of the teams.

No offense........but I would welcome a DB to join the Braves......he would learn to play within the system like everyone else or ride the pine............our coach's can handle it!
