Game 2- 8:35 pm #10 seed Evansville vs. #7 seed Illinois State - Illinois State is a 5½ point favorite

Games are on the MVC TV Network- including NBCSports Chicago Plus (due to Chicago Blackhawks game on NBCSports Chicago main channel) and FoxSports Midwest (Game 1 is on FoxSports Midwest & Game 2 is on FoxSports Midwest Plus channel due to St. Louis Blues game that begins at 9:30 pm).
The games are also on ESPN+ for those outside the MVC area.

Both teams look better than they did in the games I saw them play during the regular season. Valpo is 0-6 from three, but getting a lot of points on layups and close-in shots. Jordan Barnes is 0-6, but the rest of the team is 10-18. What the heck happened to Barnes?
 
Valpo went on a 19-5 run in the last 6:00 minutes of the half to lead 36-29. Key has 15 while for Valpo Markus Golder has 14.
 
Valpo up 54-44 with 7:57 left. Key just 3 points this half. ISU is shooting just 17-44 for the game, 5-17 from 3. Valpo is shooting just 21-50, 2-12 from 3 but is 10-13 from the FT line
 
Javon Freeman has 10 of his 17 points for Valpo in the 2nd half as they are leading 67-51 with 4:00 left
 
Could this be the first of many upsets in the tournament? ISU is running out of time to continue their season and perhaps the ISU coaching career of Greg Lansing

I think a majority of Indiana State fans prefer to see a change, though there are still many who like Greg Lansing.
This will be their 5th straight season with a losing record. Prior to that, they were competetive in the MVC including an MVC Tournament Championship and an NCAA appearance in 2010-11-

Ugly game so far. Evansville is 0-9 from the floor, and ISU is 1-6 at the first time out.
Illinois State leads 4-1 at 15:55 of the first half.
 
The horrendous shooting continues. At the 2nd timeout, Evansville is 3-18, ISU is 3-14.
ISU leads 10-9 with 10:30 left in 1st half.
