Drake at Southern Utah in CIT

Tough break for Drake. Despite not shooting well, Drake lead by double-digits with 6 minutes left, but their lead disappeared quickly after that, and they had to rally in the final 40 seconds to tie and take the game to overtime. In overtime, Drake was outscored 11-4. Drake got double digit scoring from their starting 5, but their lack of depth finally did them in. They played only 7 players, got virtually nothing from the short bench, and 4 of their 5 starters had to play 37-44 minutes in the game.

it is a classic example that those people who always said "you can't use injuries as an excuse" are obviously wrong
