Porter Mosher to leave Loyola?

Early this morning, while driving, I was listening to the Score, 670 am and I only heard part of the story that Porter was offered the head coaching job at St John's. The radio announcers were already discussing possible replacements for Porter. I don't think Porter has accepted the offer. Anyone have any updates on this?

St. John's has reportedly made an offer and Porter Moser is considering it...
we're discussing more over here --

This is what I consider is the MVC's biggest problem. You can go back 30 years where coaches make a name for themselves in the Valley then they get hired by a bigger program with more money. Nolan Ryan, Fogler, Turgeon, etc. Any time you change coaches it takes 3 to 4 years to build the program back up

Porter will have a lot to think about. Last year, he bought Tom Rickett's former home in Wilmette for 2.5 million. It will cost a lot more to live in NYC, but 16 million, if guaranteed, will help.

Moser turns St. John's offer down-

There also reports that Loyola has promised to rework his contract again.

Porter Moser will likely have more admirers now than he would have - had he accepted the St. John's offer. Everyone has to admire a person who turns down the $$money$$ carrot, a bigger stage, etc., etc. and shares he is quite comfortable where he is. Ben Jacobson is another great example at Northern Iowa. In a lot of ways I believe Jim Les had a similar foundation - during Jim Les's Bradley head coach acceptance speech Jim stated that he did not view accepting the Bradley Head Coach position as "a stepping stone". It is unfortunate that Kirk Wessler and the wicked witch of the west had other plans. Congratulations coach Porter with your decision.
