5 MVC games Saturday, Feb. 29

Some interesting matchups on the final day...
Loyola at Bradley- Bradley needs to win to tie Loyola for 2nd place and to lock up the #3 seed (or a slim chance at #2).
ILSU at Evansville- #9 seed ILSU at #10 UE- Aces need a win to avoid becoming first winless team since 1997-98 Drake (0-18 )
Valpo at Indiana State- Valpo trying to avoid Thursday games, Indiana State needs a win for a chance to improve seed to #3.
SIU at Missouri State- SIU has lost 4 of their last 5 while MSU has been playing better. MSU must win to avoid Thursday.
UNI at Drake- Rivalry game; Drake playing for pride and to try to lock up #7 seed rather than #8 and avoid UNI in St. Louis.

I'M PUMPED !!!! And I am clear out here in Colorado. Tip off in less than 4 hours. I recall last season the last regular season game where Bradley played at Loyola - and then heading into the 2019 MVC Tournament.

Although no one states it - I wonder how many felt as I did March 21, 2019 after the loss to Michigan State - I WANTED MORE - I WANTED TO WATCH BRADLEY PLAY ANOTHER GAME... I wanted to be where we are right now today instantly. Well here we are.... To coin Magic Johnson - " SHOW TIME"... With today's game and next weekend's tournament. I am definitely pumped and because I don't receive CBS Sports Network - the crowd at the Sports Pub in about 3.5 hours is going to have to put up with me. LOL

GO BRAVES !!!

Notes:
BU & Indiana State tied for 3rd- Indiana State will get the #3 seed because their NET (101) is better than Bradley's (108 ), and it will almost certainly stay better when tomorrow's NET ranking is released due to Bradley's loss and Indiana State's win. Bradley will be #4.
Valparaiso & MIssouri State will tie for 6th- If Drake loses to UNI, Valparaiso will get the #7 seed because their NET is worse than Missouri State's, and the difference will likely widen because MSU won today, and Valpo lost.
If Drake loses, they will clinch the #8 seed. If Drake wins, it will be a 3-way tie.
All 3 teams would then be 2-2 in the round robin comparison, so it will be determined by NET. Currently Drake's NET is 164, Valparaiso's NET is 133, and MSU's NET is 129. Thus, in a 3-way tie, Drake would still get the 8th seed, Valparaiso almost certainly get the 7th seed (their NET should drop with today's loss, but not far enough to drop below Drake), and MSU will get the 6th seed (their NET will improve with today's 25 point win).

NET through Friday. Feb. 28-

MVC Tournament schedule-

UNI dominates in the 2nd half and beat Drake 70-43 to win the Mo Valley regular season for the 1st time since 2010. 25-5 overall, 14-4 in the Valley. They will face the winner of Drake/ISU Red at 12:05 on Friday.

I think UNI might need to get to at least the finals of Arch Madness to possibly get an at large berth in the Big Dance. There N.E.T ranking, 43 is better than a lot of the so called bubble teams, (Arizona State, USC, Wichita State, Oklahoma, Providence, Virginia). I'm not too sure that a loss by UNI in the semis would be seen too kindly by the NCAA Tournament committee.
