Good luck Koch!

Good luck Koch. You’ve came a long way from when I first saw you. Coach Wardle was a great teacher.

Koch Bar just signed with a pro team in Denmark. He will be playing with Vaerlose Basketball of the Denmark BasketLigaen.

Koch Bar just arrived in the Netherlands (correction: Denmark) yesterday, and played his first pro game for Vaerlose today. Vaerlose had already played 2 games and was 0-2.
In today's game, Koch scored 19 points, shot 70% from the field and was 3 for 3 from the 3-point line.

Full game stats are not posted yet.

For the record, in 4 years at Bradley, Koch played in 132 games and was 0-0 from three point range. He had a career high scoring game on 11/14/18 against Jacksonville State with 20 points.

Vaerlose is leading their division in the BasketLigaen, the top pro league in Denmark. Koch Bar is averaging 12.8 ppg and 10.3 rpg, and he leads the league in blocked shots. Koch is 6-18 (33.3%) from the three point line after never attempting a three in his 4-year career at Bradley.

In addition to being an honor for Koch, this is also an honor to our program and coaching staff.

Koch Bar was a raw player when he arrived at Bradley who needed development and a lot of game experience before he achieved success toward the end of his Bradley tenure. Wardle stuck with him and kept him on the floor, and it paid off. I don’t believe we win Arch Madness 2019 without Bar.

His experience within our current program, his work ethic, and the things he learned from our staff have lead to surprising levels of success at the next level. Did anyone see that coming? I didn’t. Congratulations to Bar and to the Bradley staff!

Great post, especially since so many fans were ready to give up on Koch when Boya was signed. I think we saw last year just how valuable Koch was for Bradley.
