Streakin' across the Valley

Don't worry - contrary to the title, this should be an appropriate post! ;)

I looked back to the turn of the millenium (1999-2000 season) and only 2 times has BU had a 5-game winning streak in conference play.

2007-'08: 6 game win streak around middle of conf. season (Crouch, A-Dubb, Theron, Sammy, D Ruff, Salley - Wow! What a roster!)
2000-'01: 5 game win streak to start the Valley season. We ended up 12-6, beat our I-74 rivals in the semis, and faced Indy Blue (Menser, Block, Renn, Kante) in the Valley champ. game, where they beat the Braves. (Freshman core of Cello, Gillingham, Gilbert with Sr's Cage and Robinson)

Let's show UNI that we are for real and get this streak to 5 games!!!!!

Good work.

But if you include the post-season, there was another 6-game win streak I recalled.
In the 2005-06 Sweet 16 season, Bradley won the final 5 regular season games, but one of those was a Bracket Buster game, so they won 4 straight MVC regular season games. But then they won their first 2 tournament games, to make it 6 in a row against MVC opponents.

But nothing beats the 1985-86 season. In that season, the Braves went undefeated in the MVC regular season and finished 16-0. They also won their first 2 MVC Tournament games for a total of 18 straight MVC wins (16 if only regular season games are counted)..

That season, Bradley finished with a record of 32-3, the best record in the nation. They won the first 9 non-conference games of that season, then after their only regular season loss in the Hawaii Rainbow Tournament (to Clemson with Horace and Harvey Grant), Bradley reeled off 22 more straight wins, until they fell to Tulsa in the MVC Tournament Championship game.
