Ja'Shon Henry returning to Bradley next season

Now we’ll be the one with an experienced player. JaShon’s heart and passion, and talent, was really missed the last few months.
 
Can we petition the NCAA to allow him to play in a helmet? I have legitimate concerns over his health. Would hate to see him take another blow that causes another significant concussion. He seems like a good dude.
 
DC- I figured that but glad to have your perspective on it. I look forward to having him on the court but his long term health is most important and glad both Jashon and the university are putting that first. I’m also proud so many Bradley fans are concerned about his health over basketball.

Good dude is an understatement - GREAT dude and outstanding rep for Bradley - not sure you could ask for a better teammate and more coachable guy.
 
I think it's great he will be able to finish his Bradley career on his terms (hopefully). I think it makes us that much more dangerous with tough leadership too.

I also really hope we will use him more as a 4 than a 3 next year. Either he or Malevy would be a great 6th man next year playing starters minutes. If we don't get a replacement big for Boya a 4/5 rotation that includes Mast, Leons, Henry would be more than adequate in the Valley. Each player gets about 27 minutes too, a few more if we squeeze just a few minutes of time at the 3 per game from Henry.
