I think the staff has to tell recruits to make a decision by the weekend or they move on to the next choices. Teams are getting commitments so you do not want to wait around for the music to stop. Sell the program.

Corey Thomas 6'10 215 receives an offer from Bradley according to his Twitter page...Cowley College

Here was a post from a couple days ago that identified Corey Thomas as a juco player Bradley was in touch with-
New juco name- Corey Thomas, a 6'10", 215 lb sophomore forward at Cowley Community College in Kansas. He is originally from Atlanta.

In my book this is our team next season as of now.....
1. Dean
2. Burch
3. Davis

2 incoming feshman....who have not signed yet...
1. Johnson
2. Van der Knaap

Not counting anyone who has not come out as returning yet.

Hannah has confirmed he is returning.
I think next years team will include these 8 returning/new scholarship players:
Post grad/5th year- Darius Hannah, Duke Deen
Seniors- Christian Davis
Juniors- Ahmet Jonovic
Sophomores- Almar Atlason, Demarion Burch
Freshmen- Jaquan Johnson, Timoty van der Knapp

Plus: Walk-ons- Sam Hennessy and Cade Hardtke (will both be seniors)
Possible- Connor Linke- may return as non-scholarship post-grad

And the Bradley staff has been in contact with a number of new recruits today. Here are 3 confirmed new names-
Kobe Rogers- a 6'3" junior guard at College of Charleston who is in the portal. He is originally from Cincinnati (St. Xavier HS). He played his first 2 seasons at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, where he helped them win a D2 National Championship in 2023. He then transferred a year ago to C of C. This past year as a junior at C of C, he averaged 9.7 ppg and 4.6 rpg as a part-time starter, and helped lead CofC to the championship of the CAA. He shot 50% overall, and 45% from three.

I think it should be pretty clear who our targets in the portal should be. Lower D1 division players, Junior college, D2 and International players. We can show them the success we've had and the success that players have had in transferring up to Power 5 schools. Unfortunately that's the world we live in now. Going to be very rare to keep a player who is good at the mid major level for all 4 years.

I don't think there is any reason to panic. The tournaments are still going on. Most of the commitments so far have been guys with connections to their new programs. I'm sure most have been told it's first come, first served.

There will be 31 days left to go on Monday. I am hoping to hear commitments by the end of this weekend.

I think it might take longer. It's probably going to go like baseball free agent signings. They start off real slow, then pick up a little at a time until the better scholarship slots start to dwindle. Then suddenly there are a bunch of commitments as kids grab the best remaining available offers.

Last year, Kyle Thomas and Trey Pettigrew committed about April 15, and Emarion Ellis on about April 20. So I'd guess Bradley might get one or two commitments in the next week or so, but it could be another few weeks until all 5 open scholarships are filled.

Hope you are right because other schools are getting portal players, we just need to find good ones without making the same mistakes that we did last season. I think the staff learned not to recruit players from bigger schools that did not play much last season.
