2025 and beyond recruits

It would make sense. As a teaser he had pictures of him in the uniforms of his Final 4, all which were clearly when he was on his visits. Never did put a picture of himself in a Bradley jersey, which would indicate he never visited.

Julen Iturbe commits to American

I am convinced he will be a good player & could have been a Krutwig-type in the MVC- not necessarily claiming he'd be that consistently dominant.
Had Iturbe committed to Bradley, he'd have immediately gotten a nice writeup by the PJStar, and our local social media would have
been buzzing. But oddly, even tho he commits to a school in a city (DC) that has more media coverage than anywhere else in the world,
there isn't a single mention, let alone a story about him.
Then I tried to see if there's much discussion on their social media... and guess what? They basically don't have any.- and there's only a couple mentions
on the message board that serves their entire conference and not any particular team.
Then I checked to see if American University even has a basketball twitter account - they do not.
So I checked a few other places, FB, IG, etc... and AU's women's basketball has a Facebook page that's fairly active, but NOTHING for men's BKB.
They only draw 900-1000 per home game, so I am guessing he had little interest in exposure or NIL and just wanted to play closer to home.

That's good research!!!

Maybe he realized during scrimmaging with our players that he just wasn't that good. It's easier to get playing time with a historically bad and rebuilding program than a successful and retooling program.

He turned us down for whatever reason. I do think he would have been a good addition to the team.

I'm now concerned whether Byers, Birmingham, Lue, and Scott III will be willing to come west and enroll at Bradley. These 4 have/had offers.

No team in the Valley, and quite possibly no other midmajor team has as many good European connections, nor knows better which young Euro players have interest in coming to the US & playing DI ball than our BU staff. We have proved that with Rienk, Malevy, Almar etc.
There’s a lot of other teams with Euro kids but how many in our league were at the All-MVC level our guys are. Even the guys who weren’t big stars like Koch, DLO, Luuk, etc were still talented, motivated, coachable kids that won Championships. Look for a few more names to emerge that Bradley will be watching for 2024 & beyond.

Brant Byers just finished an official visit to Bradley. He visited Miami (OH) and Marshall earlier this month.
He attends The Newman School in Boston, and is originally from Chambersburg, Pennsylvania-

For fans concerned that Bradley is "losing" recruits to other schools, I don't think there is any cause for concern. None of the recruits that Bradley had a realistic chance at are immediate All-MVC types (we never had a realistic chance at Lathan Sommerville, Cooper Koch, etc.).
Bradley is still involved with a number of great prospects, and I expect our coaches to land a few. This past year, we have seen more Bradley offers being extended than in any previous season under Coach Wardle. And when coaches increase their offers, especially to kids who are not from our time zone, we're going to see more of them choose other decent mid-major schools closer to their homes.

Personally, I think this may be the new way to recruit to get the inside track on players who could potentially end up in the transfer portal. It may have gone a long way in helping the staff land several quality transfers this past off-season.

Bradley offers another player from Iceland-
2024 Robert Sean Birmingham- a 6'7", 18 year old, left-handed shooting guard/small forward. He is currently in North Carolina attending Carmel Christian HS in Matthews, NC and he is playing with the Team Curry program this summer.

Bradley is recruiting a 2024 junior college point guard- very athletic 6'3" Gob Gob at Hill College in Hillsboro, Texas. He is originally from Manchester, New Hampshire, and he played a year at Minnesota Prep Academy. Last season as a freshman at Hill College, he averaged 11.3 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 3.7 apg, and he shot 43.4% overall, and 27.5% from three.
