so Bradley has maybe 4 or 5 more scholarships to fill for next year - and Coach Wardle doesn't often take in transfers who only have one year left,
but he did for two kids this year who were returning home.(Zek, and in a way, Connor Dillon)

Here's a thought from way out in left field. In checking the success professionally of Malevy Leons, and checking the success of
Zek who transferred BACK to Bradley for his final year (starter, earned preseason honors, ranks among the MVC leaders in scoring and leads the MVC in 3-pt shooting)
Add to that, Nebraska just got whalloped by 37 points against Michigan State and doesn't look so strong this season, may miss the post-season...
..also doesn't have really anybody of significance signed for next season, could be a rebuilding year....
while Bradley has put together some real good numbers the past few seasons....

Is it possible Rienk Mast may want to consider playing his final season, 2025-26 at Bradley and not stick around the cornfields for a rebuild?
I kinda know the fans and likely Coach Wardle wouldn't mind....

It would be great to have him back, but the situation would be a bit different than it was last spring. Zek was unhappy because he was forced to play out of position at Rhode Island, and was demoted from his starting spot. He wanted to return and play with his friends at Bradley, where the style was more conducive to his abilities, and where the had the ball in his hands more and was able to be more involved in the offense. The other guys wanted him back and lobbied the coaches for it to happen. But with Rienk, that won't happen. All the guys he played with will be gone next season.

2025 Timo George- 6'7" wing at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida. He is originally from the Netherlands. H3 played on the Netherlands U20 team this past summer in the FIBA European Championships and averaged 12.3 ppg & 7.3 Rebs.

I see several Canadians in the mix. I wonder if Ja'Shon is helping us

Possibly. But, I think these were kids that one or more of our assistant coaches made contact with at a couple holiday events this past couple weeks.

Again we need to bring in some athletic players with size because we pretty much have the guard positions taken care of for next season. Johnson, Burch, Wheeler, Zobrist and Richardson gives us 5 really good players so maybe adding one more to that group would be ok.

With the players we will lose after this season, it is of utmost importance Bradley hits home runs to fill our front court with athletic big men who have good moves to the rim, can rebound, and play defense. Zeke came back for his final year and looking at Latham Sommerville's stats so far, he is averaging 15-19 minutes per game with 7.5 avg. in scoring. You can only hope he decides to go to the portal next year and maybe come to Bradley. He would be an immediate starter in my opinion.

I wish but I do not see that happening. We need to look at portal transfers and JUCOS because we need bigs that have proven they can play at this level.

The two top scorers ahead of him are both going to the NBA, so likely his playing time and starting status will keep him there

That's true, but Bailey and Harper are both guards, so it isn't likely Sommerville will get more playing time or more starts if they leave.
I do not think there is any chance he leaves Rutgers, but Sommerville hasn't started any games, so far, and their starting center Ogbole, who has started every game, is just a junior.

Sommerville plays considerably more minutes than Ogbole & Ace Bailey, projected as a top NBA Draft pick, is 6-10 and plays forward in much of their offense

A player we discussed a year ago, 2024 Metamora grad Tyler Mason, is now a freshman at D2 Wenona State University. Bradley never offered, and I don't believe any other D1 school did either. But he is off to a good start at Wenona State. They are 11-4 so far and 6-3 in their conference. Tyler has been a starter in all 15 games, has average 33 minutes per game, 9.9 points per game, and he is shooting 42.1% from three.

One new name that Bradley has been in contact with...
2026 Jarron Talley- 6'3 guard at Pope Paul II HS in Hendersonville, Tennessee.

It would be better to see us in on some bigs because we already have 5 guards on our next years roster.

We are in on a number of bigs. Scroll back over the last several pages to find them. This kid is a 2026 recruit. He would not be part of next year's team.
