The MVC has had a postseason tournament yearly since 1977. From 1977-1990, the tournament was held at designated conference teams' home courts. Then, since 1991, the tournament has been held in St. Louis. In 1991 it was held in the old Kiel Auditorium, just before it permanently closed. In 1992-1994, it was held in the old St. Louis Arena (formerly the Checkerdome), before it permanently closed. And since 1995, it has been held at the current site, the Enterprise Center (formerly the Kiel Center, the Savvis Center, and the Scottrade Center).
Bradley won the tournament in 1980, 1988, 2019, and 2020. They were runner up in 1986, 1996, 2001, and 2006.

This year is the 33rd edition of Arch Madness is in St. Louis from Thursday, March 2 through Sunday, March 5

Nice article by Harry Schroeder about the upcoming Arch Madness tournament-

One correction... on the 3rd page, the article refers to Ja'Shon Henry as a 6'3" forward. He is actually listed at 6'6"-

From a walking perspective what's the safest hotel relative to the Enterprise Center?

From a walking perspective what's the safest hotel relative to the Enterprise Center?

Here is a Google map showing the hotels near the Enterprise Center, along with their prices for the March 2-5 weekend-
https://www.google.com/maps/search/s...!2i3!6e3?hl=en

The closest hotel is across Clark St. from the main Enterprise Center entrance. It is now called the OYO Hotel, and it's a reasonably priced hotel-
https://www.oyorooms.com/us/105125/
It was formerly the City Center Hotel, and prior to that it was the Red Lion Hotel, and before that it was a Sheraton.

There are a couple hotels near the Union Station, which is a couple blocks west of the Enterprise Center-
The Hilton-Union Station Hotel- https://www.hilton.com/en/hotels/stl...station-hotel/
The Drury Inn- https://www.druryhotels.com/location...-union-station

The downtown hotels are all within 1/2 to 1+ mile away, and are easily walkable and safe, unless the weather is bad.

The Bradley team is at the Embassy Suites at the corner of 7th St. and Washington Ave. It's one of the pricier hotels, but the rooms are huge and they have a great breakfast, which is free.

Here are all the team hotels- https://mvc-sports.com/sports/2019/12/6/ArchHotels.aspx

The St. Louis soccer team has their home opener at thier new stadium near Union Station on the Saturday of the Valley Tournament. It should add some traffic when the semi-finals are over.

And for dining, right around the corner from the Embassy Suites is Sugarfire, which is a must visit, and you're likely to run into either the BU or Valpo teams in there at some point.

Will be interesting to see how many fans Belmont (311 Miles), Murray State (219 miles) and UIC (296 miles) will be bringing to Arch Madness. Will also be interesting to see how many more fans will be attending all 4 games on Thursday. So looking forward to what should be one of the best Arch Madness tournaments of all time.

From watching past OVC tournaments, I think there will be a good number of Murray State fans. But Belmont fans don't seem to travel too well, and they have a long way to go. And I'd be surprised if we see more than a couple UIC fans.

Even though I won't be at Arch Madness if you have some time you're looking to fill check out the St. Louis Zoo. It's free and and one of my favorite zoo's I've been around this country.

Specifically the seal feeding since Dr. Vroman (retired conductor of the Basketball Band) would always try to have all of us congregate there to watch it together since it's quite the show.

Agreed. The elephants are great too imo.

I know it’s early yet but I basically missed the deadline for MVC tickets thru Bradley! If plans in the future would change for someone and you would want to sell your tickets I would be interested but would need two sets. Thanks, Sparkplug

With their win at SIU, Bradley has clinched no lower than the #3 seed.
If they win their last 2 games, they will land the #1 seed, and they will play the first game of the afternoon session Friday, March 3 (Session 3).
If they fail to land the #1 seed, they can finish with either the #2 or #3 seeds.
If they are the #2 seed, they will play the first game of the night session on Friday, March 3 (Session 4).
If they are the #3 seed, they will play the second game of the night session on Friday, March 3 (Session 4).
