Congratulations to everyone. You deserve it

Congratulations to Coach Wardle, Rienk, Malevy, JaShon and Duke. DeVries may have won the Larry Bird Award, but on Sunday afternoon, he was not the best player or even the best sophomore on the court. Hitting 3 out of 13 shots is not a LarryBird type performance. Good defense triumphed over good offense.

Only disappointment is Connor not getting any award, but I’m sure he was considered.
Next 2 yrs for sure!

I agree. Most years in the past, they have had Honorable Mention All-MVC. Connor and Zek both deserved recognition in some way, other than "Most Improved", IMO.

Some really deserving awards here. Congrats to all, you've sure made Bradley Nation proud on and off the court. Really special group of young men here and I'd love to see Mast and Ville come back for one more year to see what we can do again. It's an outside chance for either of them but one can hope. First though, let's win it all in St. Louis and make some noise in the big show!

Connor did get the second team academic award, so all of our top 6 players were on an all league award of some kind, plus coach of the year. Not bad. Congrats to all!

Wondering what would entice Reink to leave after this season? He's definitely not NBA-ready (not sure he is after another season), though he would be overseas. With him coming back, he'd have a great shot to repeat as Valley champs, work on his game, etc.

This is second hand but from what I have been told he is looking to play pro closer to home, having been away from his family for 4 years. I'd really love to see him come back and maybe not getting MVC POY makes him want to just a little more? Whichever he decides he has been an absolute pleasure to watch. And he's represented BU very well. That being said if he leaves for another program....it will really sting.

Yeah, definitely looking at the European league, not the NBA. Probably hard for these kids not to take the money when they can. Who knows, maybe the Peoria booster group can get something put together to help encourage him to stick around. Whatever happens, we were lucky to have him for as long as we did.
