Final score: Bradley 95 Belmont 72

.... the Player of the Game has to be Duke Deen. Deen had 25 points, and he had 3 rebounds, 7 assists, and only 1 turnover in 32 minutes. Duke was electrifying with shots from everywhere on the floor, some were off-balance, and a couple were well behind the 3-point line. He was 10-14 overall, and 7-10 from three....

Did anyone else notice that there must have been a mistake made in the Live Stats, which showed Duke Deen had 27 points. Even the TV announcer said his last basket gave him 27 points. But when the game ended, the Live Stats had a correction made, and Duke's total was reduced to 25 points. I don't know where the error came from, but the official box score confirms his point total was 25. No other player's total was changed, so they must have just given Duke 2 extra points somewhere during the game, and corrected it when it didn't fit with the team's total of 95 points.

Really impressed with the way Wardle has used Thomas and the progression he’s shown. Most especially I am impressed with his ability to finish at the rim. He seems to recognize he’s a big and rarely tries to lay it in when he’s close.
Did not expect such a solid game all around against a well coached Belmont team.

Anyone see the advertisement placed by Culver’s on the scoreboard in the 2nd half that advertised that if Bradley’s opponent missed free throws, fans would “recieve” 2 free scoops of frozen custard. Ughh, send the responsible party for the misspelling back to grammar school.

I agree. I'm really liking Thomas getting the extra playing time. He's quicker and has better hands than Jonovic.

Duke was really feeling it in the second half. Waving everybody off and draining that 30 footer was worthy of Caitlin Clark.

Tremendous performance. Very connected on o and d. When we play defense like that we are a definite contender. Leon's does not get enough credit. So versatile. Stats don't reflect his true value. He can guard guards, wings and posts. Always gets loose balls. Rebounds. Does all the little things. He is a winning player.

They must have come thru the Peoria Public school system.

Another look at Duke's long three pointer... Not that the 3-point line is at 22 feet, 1 ¾ inches. So how long was Duke's three pointer pictured below? I think it was a legitimate 30 foot shot.
And why did he take that shot? Bradley was up by 20 points with 3 minutes left in the game. There were still 6 seconds left on the shot clock after Duke killed time near center court. He could have easily gotten around the slower defender for a closer shot, but he knew the 30 footer was going in. Amazing.
Also, notice how the other 4 Bradley players simply stand along the baseline and are not running any offense. They don't even appear to go for a rebound.

Very well played game. We were so hard to guard yesterday since Leons and Davis were able to find their 3 point shot like they had in the past. Having that many guys that are capable of making those shots to go along with a good inside game makes for a great offensive team. The extra passing also makes a huge difference. Now lets do this again Wed. night and beat Murray St.

Speaking of Culver's did anyone send the text for the free custard?
if so did you get your coupon?

I am going to show my age here but Burch reminds me of Lavern Tart.

oooh...very old...

the Crusen's free pizza coupon is disappointing and deceiving- must dine in, must buy two drinks AND then they charge a service fee on top of that for bringing your pizza to your table, tax and extra for any additional toppings. By the time you finish & leave a tip, you end up with a free pizza that still cost you $30.

The Papa John's free pizza coupons that the cheerleaders occasionally give out are LEGIT...
each has an individual code that if used when ordering online automatically reduces the price of your pizza by $18.08 (the cost of a LARGE one-topping pizza) - NO other purchase is necessary and you can order online for carryout or delivery,
so KUDOS to Papa John's for giving exactly what they say you get for free.

PLUS- just an fyi- Papa John's has an option to upgrade any LARGE (16") pizza to EXTRA LARGE (18") for just $2.
If you are a math major- then you can do the math and see that it is an even better deal -
Large = 201 square inches for $18.08 - or 9 cents per square inch
Extra Large = 254.5 square inches for $20.08 - or 8 cents per square inch

I did notice this while at the game. I was wondering what happened.

I rewatched the game video on ESPN+, and the announcer, John Rooney, made an issue of Duke's final basket, which he said gave Duke 27 points which he said was a career-high (it actually only tied Duke's career-high of 27 which he had against SIUE). And as I noted, the Live Stats feed showed Duke with 27 points until about 10 minutes after the game ended, when the stats were corrected and showed Duke with 25 points. So I am not sure where the error occurred, but the stat people must have erroneously given Duke 2 extra points that were later corrected.

Yeah, I remember the days of Tart and Strawder. If I remember correctly, those two were recruited on just one trip through Florida.
