2024 Transfer Portal news

Former Bradley assistant Alvin Brooks III moves from Assoc Head Coach at Baylor to work under new head coach Mark Pope at Kentucky.
Brooks III is one of the nation's premier recruiters and helped build Baylor into a perennial powerhouse. He's prob going to earn as much
there as assistant as 98% of DI head coaches make...

Bradley Women's BB 2nd leading scorer, Alex Rouse, is transferring to EIU- seemingly a pretty lateral to downward move.
EIU was 15-18 last year and 11-7 in the OVC

Drake gets a commitment from seldom used former Indiana State guard Eli Shetlar. - https://twitter.com/VerbalCommits/status/1783212050174652622
Eli Shetlar is a 6'6" freshman guard who rarely saw any playing action at Indiana State this past season. He appeared in 11 games for a total of 61 minutes all season (5.5 minutes per game). He averaged 2.5 ppg and 1.1 rpg, and he shot 30% from three (6-20).

I noticed the post for women's basketball that Alex Rouse went to Eastern.Do they have any starters left on the team.Something must be going on that they don't want to play for this coach.

Is this fallout from the events that resulted in the coach’s suspension last season?

A couple more MVC players are in the transfer portal-
Evansville big man Sekou Kalle has entered the portal. He is a 6'10" junior forward who played his freshman season at Akron in 2021-22. Then he transferred to Evansville 2 years ago and played 18 minutes per game as a sophomore (2022-23), averaging 3.1 ppg and 3.9 rpg. Then this past season, he played very sparingly (6.7 mpg) and averaged just 1.8 ppg and 1.5 rpg.

UIC's Jaden Brownell is also in the portal. He is a 6'9", 230 pound sophomore forward. He looked good at times in the games he played against Bradley, but he never seemed to get a lot of playing time for Luke Yaklich. He averaged 3.6 ppg and 1.7 rpg as a freshman and 6.1 ppg and 2.4 rpg as a sophomore in limited playing time. But for a big man, he seemed to mostly hang around the 3-point line, which explains his skimpy rebounding numbers. And, nearly half of his career shot attempts at UIC were three pointers.

UNI gets good news. Senior Tytan Anderson announces that he will use his 5th year (Covid year) and stay at UNI for one more season.

Missouri State junior 6'5" guard Raphe Ayers enters the transfer portal. He started 11 of 31 games this past season and averaged 2.2 ppg and 2.9 rpg.

As of now, only 1 player remains on the Missouri State team who is eligible to return who scored any points for them this past season.
Nick Kramer's 30 total points in the 2023-24 season are the only points from this past season set to return next year.

I was also told SIU landed 2 players.. but I did not get names
Hearing it's one HS and one portal

One guy, from Normal, IL, and a 3-star (don't remember his position or name) had committed to Wright State, but decommitted and followed Nagy to SIU. The other guy is from Texas Tech, but didn't play this past season as he was a redshirt. This is the portal guy.
